i skipped the uni thing too and have been climbing long and hard up the employment ladder. now my company is planning to send me for courses.
hard work pays off sometimes though. sometimes its hard when u see those with paper qualifications but are inexperience and know jack working in top positions and getting paid way higher than you. .

get more loans. You don't have to pay those back.

i'm going to apply for a creative educational loan to cover that last 15k that i didn't get covered for. what other loans can i apply for other than my federal stafford one? i got approved for like 45k but my degree costs 60 something thousand. if i get out of this day job crap, u think i'll get more money for school since i won't be making as much?

I just learned

Finance a car and make payments on time.....leads to good credit...leads to taking out loan to buy a house. Hopefully by that time you'll be making atleast a 2-4k a month to afford the house mortage payments if you need one. Usually no one buys a house unless they make maddddd money for 5-10 years but how many people under age 25 own their own house.

no one is talking about buying a house... everyone i know who is young and in school and lives on their own is just renting. i don't plan on buying a place until i'm almost 30 probably...because by then, i'll be done with school and will have a career and i'll be living where i want to settle down (which sure as hell isn't in south florida, but i'm stuck here for now).

i'm just talking about being able to rent an apt, but the real estate market is so ridiculous right now, that all the rentals are getting more $ because ppl can't afford to buy...

i dunno, i might just stay at my mom's for another year or so...

I have about 30k in government loans to pay back starting this coming year. I was fortunate enough to get some federal aid(about 5000 a year) for school. My school cost was 16,000 a year at a private institution in Missouri. I went out there because the east coast/northeast region where I live it would have cost me about 25-35k a year. I notice a lot of people going to school in the middle of the country because it is too expensive out here unless you go to a state school.

There were a lot of people that tried to pay their whole school bill by working full time but those people all went 5 years or more of undergrad. I would rather get it done and have thousands to owe back than to tire myself out and have it take longer. School work, relationship drama, and my 10 hour work study job was good enough for me in school.

yea that's why i want to switch it up...i don't want this to take any longer than i've already taken to figure out what i want to do and finally get my ass in school. now that i'm here, i want to go full time. i'd rather just make enough for my bills and a little more and stay at home and just do that whole thing...and have a boyfriend instead of doing blow every weekend with young rich professionals....that crowd is going to get me in trouble.

Everyone wants to be independant, but usually you just can't. I've thought about moving out a lot in the past (I'm in my 2nd year of uni if I'm correct - we have a different system). But my parents are pretty tolerant so I'm gonna buy my a nice car instead. That way I could go anywhere I want to, whenever I want to (it's freedom without 'waisting' money - cause that's what renting is)

I've been working every fridayevening in a restaurant for the last year. I've recently applied for another job where I could work one day in the week so that would be nice to work 1 day and 1 evening. I'll just earn the big bucks after I graduate. (I have no loans by the way)

Moving to another country in a different hemisphere at 19 worked for me :D

Yeah that's like the exact same boat I'm in.
