hahaha remember one more, if you'r fasting (for males) you can't listen to music that has woman vocales!!!

if you listen to it it's called "haram" and you'r fasting is expired!

if they did not know that beforehand it's not a haram...by the way...happy ramadan to all of those fasting

certain rules in islam are created by a certain muslim culture themselves...does not mean it's necesarily stated in Kur'an..i dont know if that's one of them but i know there's a bunch that certain muslim cultures believe in and others are like WTF...they'll says we dont believe that...like the women you see on tv in Afghanistan completely covered, everything including the face you can only see the eyes...now its not stated in the kur'an that a woman must completely hide her face too...it's a cultural thing

Pretty much.

It's how each Muslim group interpret the Sharia (religious law) and hadith (?) or how did Prophe Muhammad and his Companion lived

regardless, what good is religion when it separates people? muslim, jew, christian, hindu- blood is still red

IMO Muslim theology is harder to understand than Christianity, esp. if you get into the 4 Sunni legal schools and all the sub branches and whatnot.

Basically the biggest difference between a Sunni and Shiite is who they believe should have been the leader of Muslims after Prophet Muhammad. (There's also few more side, but still significant things)

I also find it kinda ironic that supposedly most fundamentalist Muslim nation (Iran) is more liberal in terms of woman than a lot of Sunni nations.

Depends on whether people use religion as a separator between people, or as unifier.

Personally I'm a fan of infinite diversity from infinite combinations. Strength and unity in diversity
