..speaking of cops, i have to say that i pretty much dont like them at all. of course, that is a sweeping stereotype and i have a few friends that are nice cops. and i'm only speaking of cops in my area- nypd/njpd.
i would say about half of the experiences i've had, the cops acted waaaaaaay overly aggressive and half of that half were yelling/cursing at me for absolutely no reason ("stay in your ing car!" "don't ing move!") ...btw, i almost over get pulled over for speeding...one time it was for an illegal u-turn or some .
one of the last times i got pulled over it was by a state trooper (read: dick) and he was actually cursing/threatening me in my car. i was doing exactly 40mph over the speed limit on the state's biggest highway (yes, speeding a lot but it's pretty common) and i have a feeling i was discriminated against (i really hate using that word discriminated, it's too PC) bc i had my platinum colored fauxhawk and the small purple streak in the front, which is now baby pink. my parents also mentioned the fact that cops take some sort of initiative to assume the worst when they see something superficial that is out of the norm. not that my hair was insane but yea, not many chicks had my hairdo, and yes, it looks punky. and i drive an RSX in case anyone is wondering...ing cop magnet of a car. :(
short version: i think cops immediately think i'm a punk bc of my hawkdo and that pisses me the off bc it's totally unfair. |

| NY State Troopers are dicks. i don't have anything against cops but everytime i've ever encountered a state trooper in NY he just had this attitude like "i'm better, you're a screw up, and i'm gonna treat you like a head and show you how much power i have"... |

all cops are pretty much like that, its a personality trait that goes with the job, so don't take it personal. |

i've met friendly cops too. this one really nice cop let me wear his handcuffs and then took me for a ride into an alley where we played a game called "improper cavity search bonanza"... it was fun! |
