Just wondering because i have the "9/11" dvd of the French film makers with the NYFD, the only footage from inside the buildings. Just been watching it and i was thinking about the day it happened.

So where were you and what were you doing when you found out? What was going through your mind when it happened?

I was 15, i had just got home from school (Around 4pm GMT) and i found my dad sat on his bed staring at the tv not answering me. I asked him what was going on...he just looked at me and said "The world is about to change forver". That will stick with me for good...i thought nuclear war was only a few days away, i had loads of thoughts rushing through my mind.
Next morning on the bus and all through school its all we were talking about, venting anger and coming up with different theorys of where and how they'll strike next. Quite a mature debate for 14 -15 year olds to have at that time.

I woke up hearing the song, "Fly Away" by lenny kravitz on the radio. Then they went live to a girl who worked in a starbucks down the street from the two towers. I figured fly away and planes... kinda creepy coincidence.

I was in 6th grade reading class. I was sitting on the rightmost side of the classroom 2nd seat back. I wasn't doing my work because I worked the teachers over. The TV literally came on out of nowhere and showed the 1st tower on fire. We watched the 2nd tower get hit. My teacher was from new york and started having a panic attack. :(

I was working in an electronics store...

you know the kind with the wall of TVs. All of course were showing the developing story. Until management realized no one was buying anything so they had all the TVs turned off.

Not much i was studying with the TV on, saw the first plane hit, went for a glass of milk and went on with studying. After i saw the second plane hit i turned off the tv becouse it was bothering me and countinoued with my studies. Later that day i had a chat with my friends over a beer about how overblown all this will be, then i went to bed and next day i awoke into the same, but a little more paranoid world than the day before.

I was a junior in high school on the day it happened. It was third period (health) and suddenly 2 teachers walked into your classroom mid-lecture. They took my teacher outside and were talking to her all frantic-like. The girl closest to the door crept up to hear what was being said. Unfortunately, she got some gibberish out of it. Something like "Terrorists are holding multiple locations all over the world under siege." Anyways, my teacher ended up rushing off to the city because her husband worked in one of the towers (he was fine). The next period, the principal got over the loudspeaker and informed the school of what had happened. Most of my classes were still held and we got a lot accomplished (Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, etc...)

By the way, I live in NYC.

The day before was my birthday so I was out till like 5am. The next morning 9/11 I was woken up by my only friend that was up that early. He called me at 8:30 am yelling "were getting bombed were getting bombed" I was half asleep & told him to STFU & hung up on him & went back to sleep. He calls right back & yells the same thing. So i turn on the TV & see the first world trade center burning. I told him its only terrorism & i was only thinking they put a bomb in the building. Then they said a plane hit it & not too long after the second plane hit LIVE. I was like OMFG. That made me stay awake.

I was sitting in my grade 10 math class. I asked to go to the washroom and as I was coming back I overheard teachers talking about planes crashing.

I came back to class and I whispered to the girl beside me that the teachers were saying planes were crashing somewhere.

Very shortly after, there was an announcement over the PA saying that there had been a terrible tragedy, and that a plane had crashed into a building in New York.

When lunch came, they had a projector playing CNN live in the cafeteria. We all sat in silence watching it. One of my girlfriends burst into tears, crying about her Grandmother whom lived in Niagra Falls. She thought they were going to start a war, and her Grandmother would die. I tried consoling her, but it didn't do much good.

We then proceeded to go about our regular classes. I can't remember much after that.
