Candi: No. No props in charades! No props and no clothes! Uncle Pete's rules.

Roxana: Ew!

Jade: No more stories from the dark farm, OK Candi?

Can't recall why I watched it for the first time - I think it was on TMN. And no, not a chick made me watch it - it would have been an afternoon when I was doing nothing and came across it.

I happen to really enjoy this movie. It's fun and entertaining. Very enjoyable to watch repeatedly.

I believe I saw it almost 10 times over a 2 week period beceause TMN was whoring the crap out of it that month.

I watched it every chance I got. I wish I owned it. My brother does. Little bitch. I should steal it from him.

P.S. In the one scene when they're getting ready for Freddie's party, they play the song Take a Chance on Me by A*Teens

God did I ever fall in love w/ that song too! ;) I'd play that part over and over again just to hear that track until I got it as an mp3.

Watch things like Ed Norton's (Narrator) insomnia, notions of materialism, false religion and religion in general (there's TONS of allusions in the film), lying, suffering etc., and how they all unfold in relation to Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) and in turn what the film says about all of these things as part of the message it's trying to convey.

It's a seriously interesting movie to watch. One of the few that each time you can pick up something different or notice another detail.

Not to mention, this is probably one of the best novel to film translations out there. None of the original message is skewed or lost which not many films can pull off completely. Go David Fincher. Palahniuk's style of introspective stream of consciouisness writing lends itself completely to a tremendously accomplished script. Fincher needs to pick up some of Douglas Coupland's work as it is written along the same cogitative lines (a la Virginia Woolf). That would be a lethal combination for the same genre of film.

wow!

what do you think about palahniuk's "haunted" ???

and you like boondock(sp?) saints :)

how about : "how do you shoot devil in the back ? and what if you miss?"

verbal kint, "the usual suspects" - greates movie of all times???

Van Wilder interviewing for persal assistant:

Looks like we got one more.
What's your name?
I'm Taj Mahal Badalandabad.
Where are you from, Taj?
I'm an exchange student
from Banglapur, India.
Welcome.
What can we do for you?

My exchange program culminates
at the end of this school year...
at which time I must return
to my home country...
where I do not have many friends.
I would like very much to spend my
remaining days here as your assistant.

Okay. We're just gonna do
a little word association.
Say the first thing
that comes to your mind.

Milk.
Tit!
Oh, Mommy.
Most Indians would say "cow"
because they are sacred...
but I hear ”milk,"
I think giant jugs.

You see, I cannot
go home a virgin.

I came here to study the great
American art of muff diving.
To smack clam, munch rug...
dine at just one American
pink taco stand.
You know, I wanted to-- how is it--
park the porpoise.
I want to take it
through the car wash, baby.
And get it waxed.
I want to wax it. Wax it!
You know, and air dry.
Air dry that , yeah.

And I would like very much to be
your assistant very much...
Mr. Van Wilder. :p

Team America, Guy in Bar:
See, there's three kinds of people: dicks, pussies, and s. Pussies think everyone can get along, and dicks just want to all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your s, Chuck. And all the s want us to all over everything! So, pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while, because pussies get ed by dicks. But dicks also s, Chuck. And if they didn't the s, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your all covered in !
