Okay, well, im not conveying my meaning and thought processes here very well.
I never thought much of black history month before, so never looked at it in a terms of statements of empowerment to over come past discretions and ill-treatment.
RE: Linga Sharira, i have no aversion to black history month at all, I never remark it much at all. I'm pretty much opinion-less on that subject.
valid points all. i need to re-contemplate the actuality of any true differences of being say "pro-white" or "anti-black"

If people were still slaves then I could see Pro-movements to show empowerment. People are not slaves anymore.....it is now being used as nothing more then to say I am different and you better treat me right or else.
People play the race card way to much....it is about time honkies start playing the race card. |

How lovely of you, how can you completely ignore (a) the historical context, or (b) you're obvious opinion (BIAS) based on your situation of convience?
Sorry I only assumed you're white... |

They're not the ones making a statement that they are different. White America drew the colour line. And it's not about treatng them right, it's about treating them fairly. |

You are white...I mean Right :D I am white
I don't have any problem with anyone celebrating their history...as a people.....if that is what you are doing.
I believe humans have developed a lot since slavery.....although we do have far to go in other areas.
You have to understand that being a young white male is probably the worse thing you can be in this day and age. You are going to be overlooked for certain jobs because you are a white male. A white male and white female with identical qualities go for the same job....the white female will most likely get the job.....it is further noticed once you start getting into different races. Why shouldn't a white person be able to play the race card now...when everyone else can use it.
Personally, people are people....I could care less what cultural background or ethnic background you have.
I am just being the devils advocate.....heck he needs someone to help him out...or else all the bible pushers would take over :D |

and in the past they were not treated fairly.....today...in general...they are treated equal....or above equal....because people are affraid that equal isn't enough.
Just look in the NFL....if you are going to hire a new coach....you have to give serious consideration to hiring a Black Coach or else you can and will be fined by the NFL. |
