Hey Vlad, I know Renzo Gracie has a gym out that way, I used to live in upstate NY, Just moved last year..If you check out www.mma.tv there is a forum called the underground. get a screenname it's free, and there is a ton on fighters and info on there, I know there are some schools, so it really depends on what you want, if you can get to Renzo's thats where I would go though, he puts out champs. Believe me I've been schooled by a couple of them.. lol.:thepirate

so....is it normal for these guys to call each other "studs" or is it a side-effect of having warm manflesh pressed against you as you shove your speedo-ed crotch against the back of a guy's head all day?

I have a couple of Renzo's jiu-jitsu video's on my computer. I know one of them is the advanced armlock, I watched it a couple days ago... some of the stuff is just, not useful in a fight lol.

Id like you to say that to Wanderlei Silva.

Hey Vlad, Renzo puts out some monsters in MMA, but hey there are a ton of schools out there, check em out and find the one your comfortable with, it's all about the experience anyway. Good luck bro, and I'm on the UG same screenname. take it easy.

well, unless his brazilian ju-jitsu allows him to dodge the bullet of a .45 magnum, i'm not afraid of that guy.

Id be doing it just for me, not to fight professionally or anything. I just love the martial arts, and am envious of those that know it.

Vlad, not everybody that trains there is into competition, there are plenty of people that do it just for the exercise, camraderie and such. so give it a try brother. there are alot of grappling tourneys now as well which do not allow striking and have just about every level of ability and experience. Now for Staedleter or whatever, dude, get a frigging life, and what the hell is a .45 magnum? I suppose you own one of these imagineary weapons? I'm sure if you would happen to have a gun you would not have the testes to aim and fire it at another human being, maybe you torture cats? get a life. :thepirate :thepirate

3 hours until ultimate fighter2 !!!!! ahhh

the UFC is the best fighting sport ive ever watched. not only do they beat the living out of each other, its hard, the hands arent big fat boxing gloves, and u can use whatever martial arts skill you can use to you're advantage. and when the opponent falls, it doesnt stop, u jump on him, and pound him down until the ref pulls u away.

i saw one fight where one guys face got beat relentlessly, and when it was over, there was huge blood spatter pattern, and smeared blood on the mat. modern day gladiators i say.
Vlad
Theres one complaint I have about UFC now versus UFC in the past... and thats the rounds.

For those people that have watched the very first UFC bouts, I loved the 15 minutes of non-stop fighting - it was just precious.
