Well to take a different turn...
I keep hearing on the news, reading in the news, or seeing on the news these wankers that claim she's a die-hard seperatist.
To all those that think that, you know what's funny? EVEN IF SHE WAS/IS, her apointment as Gov. General means Canada has her by the balls (If she had any). So even if she was a seperatist (which I dont believe she really ever was) Canada owns her now, and Canada also owns her husband who was a powerful advocate for seperatism.
Also if there are any seperatists out there... Please feel free at anytime to REALIZE YOU'RE SUPPORTING THE STUPIDEST CAUSE IN CANADIAN/QUEBEC HISTORY. (In my opinion)
Quebec has a sweet deal, just like any other Canadian province. Seperatists blame our high taxes on Canada, SUPRISE, our high taxes come from idiot bureaucrats YOU SOVREIGNTISTS insist on having in Quebec city!
Note no other Canadian province has anywhere NEAR as much bureaucracy as Quebec!!! If Quebec jumped on the Canadian bandwagon we'd be taxed much less!
Oh and btw, here's a fun fact, wanna know what would happen if Quebec managed to win a referendum? NOTHING. Know why? Cause Canadian constitution does not allow the seperation of any Canadian territories or provinces! Harhar, Quebec just so happens to be a province! And as much as Quebec believes such a decision can be won in the courts... They're wrong, since they lost last time! That's what made them go to international courts, and consult international law, and Canada does not have to obey international law! Nevermind the fact the international law came to no concrete solutions in regards to Quebec seperating!
EVEN FUNNIER is how Lucien Bouchard went to France to seek their opinion on the matter? And France told him to F off.
Seperation is idiodic and would not profit Quebec.
I love Montreal, I love Quebec and I love Canada! Canada does not impose it's anglophone, tyranical will upon Quebec (despite what seperatists may think) in fact being a part of Canada is one of the sweetest rides IN THE WORLD.
Why be anything but proud to be a Canadian? You know how many millions of people worldwide would kill to live here in Canada? Why is it that certain Quebecors cant live with being Quebecois and Canadian at the same time?
We are not oppressed as Quebecors, we aren't stripped of our rights because we speak french, or because we eat poutine, drink loads of beer and start hockey riots.
Canada needs Quebec and vice versa, Quebec = Party province of Canada, while at the same time we are part of one of the RICHEST countries on earth and we are living in one of the places that other people around the world could only DREAM to be living in.
Quit bitching about being opressed "as a people" or being treated unfairly, every seperatist I've ever had the displeasure of talking to has a roof over his/her head and a car in their driveway, so shh. |

You forgot one thing
What would happen if, by any means, Queec will end up separating, Most likely USA would just eat us up.
Which Country would you rather be ...
Canada or Usa ?
Martin
Or
Bush
Either way, i can't wait to see the next election in quebec, how fun it will be to see everybody trying to eat up mister "coke" himself ...

They'd eat us up and realize what a mistake it was.
Steal all the electricity and then tell us to be on our way! Smartest thing they could do because before long Quebec would be trying to seperate from them! |

Lopitrance.... Ça me fait sourire de voir encore des anglais venir me dire que c'est stupide, encore une fois sous des arguments économiques....you're telling me that Canada won't recognize QC?! is this really an argument? don't do it bcz we won't let you do it?

Dude if you understood how Canada's federal system worked you'd understand that Quebec has more power over itself than any other province.
Also you aren't allowed to do it, it's a fact, read the constitution and tell me where in the CANADIAN CONSTITUION it says Quebec is allowed to seperate?
Sorry bro, I can cite other reasons apart from Economic aswell :D
Also, you've lost not once but TWICE.
For the exact reasons I cited, imigrant Quebecers, are you trying to tell me THEY would want Quebec to seperate also? Or do you not care about them? Imigrants that come to Quebec are here for Canada aswell, its funny how THEY have faith in Canada's federalism but not you  |
