props to Malek for being the only one defending the truth:wtf: |

Duceppe is the smartest politician now in Ottawa and by far, hey even the anglos in the ROC say it and would dream of a politician like him.
The only reason why he didn't become head of the PQ is because he doesn't want to lead a loosing referendum. IT IS NOT THE RIGHT MOMENT to conduct a third referendum. The yes is gaining momentum, but it’s not strong enough. So if he becomes head of the PQ, he wins the provincial elections and will be forced (PQ always did a referendum in its first mandate) to drive a third referendum. He obviously doesn't want to do that.
|
Le résultat va etre encore pire avec Marois ou Boisclair dapres moi :P
Si y font un referendum en debut de mandat, Duceppe va surement venir à leur rescousse comme Bouchard la fait ya 10 ans. |

Malek, I'm sorry I somehow angered you so much that you call in my ocassional drug use into the debate.
I'm not sure what you expected to get out of a personal attack on me, and I'm sorry that's what you think about me and Tag :(
But know this, I am a political science student, and I know that what YOU'RE talking about the clarity bill is incorrect.
I even decided to chat with my professor, and of course was told what I already knew, the clairty bill is nothing more than a supreme court SUGGESTION that Canada engage in negotiations with Quebec if a CLEAR QUESTION was asked during a referendum and if that CLEAR QUESTION was met with a RESOUNDING YES/ CLEAR MAJORITY IN FAVOR OF (in the case of seperation).
Something else that's interesting is that the federal government will define what a clear question is, not Quebec. And even more interesting is that NOBODY has defined what a CLEAR MAJORITY is either.
So techincally Quebec could win a referendum by 1% and that might not be a considered a clear majority since neither the Federal government or Quebec government, Supreme court, OR international law has defined that specific term, and for good reason.
Also the supreme court stated there's nothing in the constitution that allows seperation, they also went through International law aswell and there is nothing there that allows a section of a country to split into another one.
Once again I think Quebec seperatists are lucky Canada is even LISTENING to this argument, because of some piece of land within France tried to pull this stuff it would be considered TREASON.
I'm an idiot for making this post actually since I said I wouldn't respond for a while, but here it is same day.
I'm also an idiot for making this post because I'm validating the brilliant argument of "being an e-tard is what I do best".
I could probably think up something personal and horrendous to insult you with too Malek, but from what I remember you WERE a nice guy so I'll keep my mouth shut. |

nice post...
but i dont see why were lucky Canada is even listening to this opinion of what we think we could do better with what we have
is there a way of unity in Canada???
just tell how u feel related to Canadians, im curious
because ive never been, and will never be
as i said, but was misunderstood, MY patriotism is more towards european countries from where i belong mentaly and from my ancestors
i respect ure right to have patriotism towards this country, but im not related to it so i dont see why were still here...
we should have never been part of Canada |

But we are...
Listen, I'm anglo, 150% anglo, HOWEVER, I consider myself to more of a Quebecois than an actual Canadian. Why? Because plain and simply: Quebec has more culture than Canada. Now, to be honest, when I think of Quebec I don't think of CANADA, I think of Quebec. Truth be told pretty much the REST of Canada thinks of Quebec as a different country. Now... if Quebec already has that reputation, someone please tell me... POLITELY... why Quebec would want to seperate?
POLITELY! I'll be the first to admit that I know N-O-T-H-I-N-G on this subject, BUT it'd like to learn about it. So please, someone... ANYONE... tell me what Quebec has to gain from seperating from the rest of Canada?
And please don't flame me. I think I'm being polite and respectful for both points of view and I simply want to further my understanding of this "difficult" subject. |
