ya man serously good luck
i had one of the best ids u can get..250 bux and everything scans and all that (got it before i went to wmc and it worked like a charm everywhere even crobar in nyc)..jackedd from some scumbag spirit bouncer..hes like gimme ur real im like yo wtf..it scanned hes like i dont care..he pocketed that ..i was like yoo ill give u 82 dollars (all the money i had in my pocket) and he goes get out of line now..im like finee so i give him my real id which says im 20 of course..bamm no more 21 id and man my night just went downhill from there..god 7 more months of this bull..

me too about the drinking age
every other country with a 16+ or 18+ drinking age doesn't have nearly the same amount of alcohol-related accidents and deaths as we do. doesn't the government see the pattern???? if you let kids drink at an age when they're still impressionable, mom and dad can teach them good drinking habits and the temptation to be a jerk and get super drunk lessens.

I have to wonder if the NYPD was bored or if this was just easy money for them or somethin' b/c wow .... of ALL the dangerous drugs to bust a club for they pick alcohol?? Oh, right, it must have been because of Roxy's alarming alcohol related death rate that had been skyrocketting until they stepped in. Good job.
The ppl who were supposed to go w/me to this to celebrate my b/day are under 21 so that's cut. 4AM is way too early to close down so now I have to consider going to Crobar or someplace else afterwards if I even still decide to go to this. I only just got an email about doors opening @ 11. Did I miss something? Why 11 now??? |

It doesn't matter what it is, alcohol, drugs, noise, trash and litter on the streets, whatever. The laws are just another control that they use to do their political bidding. They don't want clubs around and they don't want people gathering peacefully in large numbers especially when it has to do with our consciousness expanding "rave" music.
The powers that be want to keep everyone at odds, that's why there's so much institutionalized conflict in America. It's along the lines of divide and conquer, but I don't want to get too far into it because I would be typing all night and I have other work to do. Plus, you guys might think that I'm coming out of left field with this stuff. ;) :D |

some people are big fans and the fact that he just won the #1 spot would make the party just ten times more special for his die hards, and you know that. if it was shut for another reason, like renovation because of possible risks of the place collapsing, or even a drug bust, MAYBE we'd understand... but no, i'm not gunna be so complacent and say "well, too bad, i guess ill see him the 4 billion other times he'll be back", when in reality, this was all caused by some punk trying to buy a drink...
...not to mention, i blieve Fridays are gay night at Roxy, am i correct? i dont know too many 18 y/o going to gay nights, very few come out of their shell/closet enough to be Roxy-club-goers before the age of 21, so it sucks because the bartenders probably reached a point where they never had to deal with the usual underage people that places like Crobar or Spirit have to deal with... the cops picked the right place... gahh.. |

1-this isn't the 1st time he's been #1
2-you will see him 4billion other times - guarantee'd
3-the punk who bought a drink was an undercover (or hired by an undercover)
4-the hired undercover is doing this because he is trying to get a lesser sentence for some crime he committed
5-Saturday's is gay night I believe and isn't Jr. Vasquez a resident there on saturday nights? Should be pretty obvious
6-Many came out of their shell/closet during "Sexy Fridays@Roxy"
7-Crobar's block is too much of a scene, the block makes too much money to be shut down. Not to mention Spirit/B.E.D so I don't think it'd be wise to crack down on a million-dollar-revenue-generating-block which I'm sure NYC & NYPD receive a portion of.
8-I'm hating because it's PVD and EDM in NYC has grown mainstream...cmon even P.Diddley is at Crobar |

| yea ur right, Gay Nights are Saturdays altho earlier in the year ther was a point where Friday and Saturdays were gay, just run by different promoters... and i brought up the Crobar and Spirit thing because i was saying how the bartenders there probably have to deal with more 18 y/o coming in for drinks than Roxy's bartenders so know how to handle it better... Roxy isnt exactly the place to be, so i dont really hear about ne1 my age wanting to get into Roxy like they want to get into Crobar and what not... |
