I'm No Longer a Chipotle Virgin.... CHIPOTLE REVIEW (sorry NO pics)

Sorry I forgot the camera! :( Darn it, next time.
Anyhow, after a 10-minute drive and passing through a minor accident on the freeway, I finally made it to Chipotle. I got there around 8pm and the line was huge! It literally wrapped around the building. I began wondering if I mistakenly was in line at Monster Massive or at Chipotles. After seeing such a huge line and reading the hype on several threads, I began getting high expectations.
I finally make it inside, and I was disappointed to not see any TA's on the front center. :( Boooo for no TA presence. The venue was nice, classy, too packed for my style, and the music was all right.
By this time, I'm venturing this strange place... ALONE!!! Once at the front, I was surprise by the assembly line they had going on. The bartenders ask what I would like to have. I was tempted to order a Jose Cuervo Margarita. That looked so good, but I was on my break at work, so maybe next time. Instead, I ordered the 4 crunchy tacos meal. That way I was able to try out all their meat flavors. Well, kinda, I decided to skip on the chicken, so instead I got 2 Steak, 1 Carnitas, and 1 Barbacoa tacos. The bartender was hot! After giving her that hypnotic Woody look into her eyes, she was all mine! Oh yeah! She hooked it up good! She added Sour Cream, Guacamole, and all the trimmings! Very nice. Then, I got hooked up with some Chips & Guacamole and a side of salsa.
Without a place to sit and eat, I decided to take my food to go. I finally make it back to work and began eating.
chump chump chump chump... that's me eating... chump chump chump... Oh , what's this? A Bone? chump chump chump.

The Steak sucked! It tasted like Cardboard, yeah, im gonna get flamed for saying it, but I didn’t like the steak. Blah!
Carnitas... They were good, but they were still White Washed Carnitas.
Barbacoa.... OMG!!! Now this was so good, it actually tasted like real Mexican Barbacoa. I give them 20 thumbs up on the Barbacoa.
The Chips & Guacamole... This kicked ass too. I think the Barbacoa Tacos & Chips with Guacamole were my favorite part of my Chipotle Experience. The chips are crispy and you can taste the lemon on it, which went awesome with the guacamole. The guacamole seemed to be somewhat hand made.
Salsa... I had the hottest salsa they got and it was good. A little bit white washed, but good.
Overall...
8 out of 10
It didn't stand to the hype. I think Lisa was right. She knew exactly what I was gonna think about it.
Oh well.

| I've been to several different Chipotle's around Cali and even in Denver multiple times and from location to location, it does seem the quality varies. |

| i love that place, the veggie burrito is the best it's like a party in my mouth, insert jokes where needed, but i love it, never had a bad one. glad you came to the dark no wait chipotle side, :p now we just need a TA meet up for your next meal :crazy: |

| Best one I've been to was in Florida, unfortunately. :p I can't remember if it was Miami or Orlando, though. |

| The only chain-"mexican" places I will ever eat at are Del Taco and Baja Fresh. I even have a refillable Baja Fresh Cup! (Had to buy another since someone at work stol emy first one!) |

| I think the guacamole and chips is the best the part of it. burrito is average nothing that stands out. Dont know what the hype is all about. :conf: |

i'm sorry but i think that baja fresh is pure garbage. chipotle is pretty damn good though. i'm eating it right now in fact. |
