Wow!
All I can say is... WOW!
I had no idea who the dj playing before armin was but he was laying down a pretty good set. Got me in the mood quite nicely.
Then Armin came in and my night was perfect. Loved the way he was pumping everyone up. Tried to get in to meet some TAs but was too crowded so went back to where my mates were.
Then we had Kai Tracid. Highlights of his set were Universal Nation, Lethal Industry and Trance and Acid.
All in all, I had a great night. Perfect way to end the single life!!! |

Ok this was the first Two Tribes I've been to and I had a great night :)
Didn't get in til a tad after 12 and after abit of wandering ended up in Vodaphone Arena where I spent most of the night!
Saw most of Schulz' set and really enjoyed it! Armin played an awesome set! but I missed about half an hour of it but managed to catch the end :)
At this stage I was looking forward to Kai Tracid but after hearing him open with Born Slippy I was unsure of where this set was going to go! However once he pulled out afew tracks from the Tracid Traxx team it was going somewhere good :cool: The last half hour was especially decent :)
The atmosphere was really good and I met a bunch of TA's who's names have evaded me!
Overall was a decent night out :crazy:

Well that was a wicked night, better than I was expecting to be honest. Most of the night was a bit of a blur, but from what I can remember:
- Kasey Taylor was ing wicked. Deep, smooth prog without any of that pseudo-electro crap. A lot of the bigger name "prog" DJs could take a lesson or two from him...
- Blackstrobe were awesome for about the first 20 minutes, but then it got a bit too rock influenced for me. There were probably only 20-30 people in the room by the end of it.
- Was pretty impressed with James Lavelle in the end. Not so much of the GU26 style guff, plenty of good tunes and competent mixing.
- Can't remember much about Max Graham except I thought he was pretty good? Lotsa upbeat, funky-type basslines in there from memory, definitely not so much of that uplifting style he used to play / produce.
- Ben Cromack / Mike Callender both played some great stuff. Cromack's skills are world-class.
- Technasia were probably the best set of the night. I don't know how you'd classify that sort of tech, but whatever it was, it was good.
- Lee Coombs played some pretty good chunky-style breaks, but we weren't in there for all that long I don't think.
- Didn't see all that much of Dylan Rhymes either (maybe only half an hour or so?) but I loved it. Really sharp, stabby basslines the whole way and great to dance to, especially for breaks.
- Only caught the last 20 minutes or so of Steve Angello, but he was pretty "meh" from what I saw.
Oh and work was fun yesterday as well... :crazy: |

great night, armin ing rocked!! wanted to hear advanced and killa tho, suprised he didnt play those 2. schulz was okay... some of his songs nearly put me to sleep tho. tracid very disapointing, i thought he would be much better judging from his set last year at digital which was awesome. though he did play lethal industry which was ok
