I just quit my job

as in, gave my two weeks notice. I simply got frustrated with it all...the demeaning labor, the long hours for pay that just keeps me working, the selfish and irresponsible co-workers, my boss constantly telling me Im a ty worker and putting me down.
I decided that if I'm ever going to better my situation, I needed to shake up my life and make a change. I need to put myself in a better situation and try to put my college degree to use while I apply for grad school. So I grabbed applications from a dozen places today ranging all over the service and public sector and I'm filling them out, applying online, etc. My last day will be the Sunday after Thanksgiving and Im hoping to have something by then.
I hate quitting a job without having a new one but I totally snapped today and couldn't take it anymore. Anyone have good quitting stories to share? Once when I worked in a restaurant, I did the traditional grab all the tickets and quit...from a friend there I learned the place was wrecked for the rest of the night. |

| My boss quit on me once, mid-day on a Friday that was as busy as hell. He just said "Buck (that was my nickname) my brother's here to pick me up, I'm quitting, it was a pleasure working with you." He didn't bother to call our Area Manager or HR, nothing. So I was slammed for the rest of the day and ended up running our office for the next 6 months by myself. |

My sideways cap generally puts clients at ease when we are negotiating pricing agreements and/or large purchases. |

I used to work at Target, I was there for maybe 2.5 years? Something aweful anyway. I finally found another job and decided it was time to quit, gave my 2 weeks and basically just slacked off for the duration of my time there. Customers would ask me questions and I would just push them onto someone else or pretend I didn't speak English.
My last day arrives and it happens to be Valentine's Day, and I happened to have a date. Rumors start flying, "Is Bas leaving on his lunch? OH man he is...he's gonna do it!". I get a call to talk to the manager..."Bassel, I hear you're going to leave on your lunch...is this true?" "No way, what's the point we're out in like 4 hours (midnight)anyway."
8 rolls around and it's time for my lunch break, I punch out throw my red shirt in the trash on the way to my car and never return. Well that's not true, I had to come back to get my last paycheck. That was funny, "You know because of what you did we can never hire you back right?" *blank stare* "ahahahahaha ******s!". Then I never returned.
What does "grabbed all the tickets" mean? |

Haha I can never work at BW-3s again because I quit in a similar manor, only i didnt give any notice. I walked out with a new girl, smoked a blunt in the parking lot and got road head taking her home.
When you put an order in at a restaurant, it prints a ticket for the apprpriate section in the kitchen like the grill, or the fry section. It shows which server punched in the food and what table it goes too. Without the tickets, no one knows who ordered what, and I've never seen a system that can recover the last few tickets. Everyone has to punch in their orders again and everything slows down. The manager comps alot of meals which means the servers get tipped well and the ticket taker baecomes champion for about 3 hours. |

Oh ok...way to them up then. That's how I plan on quitting this job, only this job is way more corporate. I'll do something like with the servers, or reset all the passwords...something that only the IT people* can fix.
IT people = me and 2 other guys ready to leave. |
