which paper mate? im scanning the web but nothing to indicate whether we\'re fvcked or not. just more raids over night and the legal proceedings of the bunch of ppl arrested yesterday (plus the guy who got shot). |

this is good news on teh raids, but scarey that it is actually getting this close to home..

'that makes me furious... those fukn s.. the media are there to do their job, and yes they get in your face, but fark you deal with it.. none of those people who beat the out of the journalist have done anything wrong (supposedly). seeing this kinda makes me think that maybe the terrorist laws that howard wanted to introduce are a good idea.. "throw the cvnts in jail without asking any questions..." but once i cool down about the situation i realise that these people too deserve a fair trial...
its all pretty scarey really...'

I would have been happier if the bullet hadn't missed the major arteries in the guy's neck.
Oh and that crazy cleric Abu Bakr needs to be put somewhere where he can't talk to anyone. |

id say that suicide bombings are probably less likely than regular bombings. not that it makes much difference of course. its bound to happen imo. if only coz its ridiculously easy to be a one-man terror cell and make something that'll blow up and put it somewhere where it will do some damage.

nah, theyre good to keep alive for information. intelligence is the only thing we really have to protect ourselves from terrorists.

well, actually given the new laws on the cards re preaching hatred, intolerance or overtly supporting terrorist acts, he's hardly an innocent bystander. free speech isnt free at all; with that freedom comes great responsibility.
all we can hope is that all attacks are small-scale and relatively impotent. i love australia and all, but the tendency for us to lash out in a racist or irrational way due to an attack on \"our own\" shows a deep weakness in the australian psyche. |

This guy on the tram yesterday was pacing up and down yelling obscene about race wars and terror, in the face of black people, asian people how he was judged for looking like an arab and so forth, man i was off that tram in a heartbeat!
Scared the poo out of me!
He was so ing angry, ive never really witnessed that sort of anger up front. twas full on |

A friend of mines dad works closely with the police regarding terrorist attacks in Melbourne, They think there may be an attack in a major Melbourne train station like Flinders St. or Spencer St..
Within the next 2-3 days.. So avoid the train guys!!!!! And make sure you let your friends and family know...
