This Friday, Club Heaven Presents George Acosta, Truth, Doran and Gil La. I have a special $15 discount list for this event which closes at 11:30PM. You will not find this discount anywhere else and they all close at 11PM for $20. Email me your last and first name + guests (La Gil +8) to [email protected] by 7PM Friday night. Please arrive early for this event. Every time George Acosta has played for Heaven, it has been close to capacity.

It amazes me how many ppl hate/dislike George Acosta. What I would like to know is how many of you "haters" actually know the history of George Acosta. Not to say that he is at the top of his game, but damn lets give the man some slack for what he did do in helping Trance become what it is. I am the first to acknowledge he was over played in MIAMI and poorely mananged thereafter, but I will always respect him for what he did. He was playing electronic music before most of even knew what the hell it was, and yet we sit here and rag on the guy for continuing to do what he loves. I am an old fart in the trance world at 33 years of age I have been there and done that, but just as some of you youngins will still be lineing up to see AVB, PVD or ATB <--- (lol) I still enjoy listening to GeorgEEEE. Allow ppl to form their own opinion and state all the facts when hating on anyone. Like the fact that trance in 1998 was not main stream and none of you underaged teenie boppers knew who hell Talla, George, Okey and ATB were. Lets respect what all DJs have done for us, all the emotional rollercoasters they have taken us on. And enjoy the music.

Okay...lets see what the he does thats so interesting.
He mixes his own style...thats it.
Apart from that...he has mixing, and plays a few hours of 145bpm epically cheesy super-saw trance that seems to have been produced by the same guy who has a synthesiser comprising of four sounds...kick,synth,string and snare.
His sets dont go anywhere...same for three hours. Just garbage. Ear bleeding garbage. Its the type of trance that gives true, melodically diverse and intelligently produced trance a BAD NAME. |
