I looked on urban dictionary but still don't understand. Is it someone who looks/dresses gay but isn't?

yup, thats pretty much it. They basically have all the traits of a homosexual, but they still enjoy vagina. |

| It's all dependant on if you see 'gay' as an insult. It's basically using what society views as 'gay' to get women though, based on the idea that straight women tend to befriend gay men. |

i don't think it has anything to do with pretending to be gay.
really it's just about realizing it's a good thing to take care of yourself and look nice. why is that gay? the only reason people call them gay is because they are threatened by them...so they have to make it derrogatory... |

Who said anything about pretending there big shooter? Men who are gay but have not allowed themselves to believe it or have not announced it to the public at large often fall into the Metro catagory. Other metros are men who place such a high priority on looking good that they go to excessive lengths to do so, subsquently, one can only extrapulate that they are vein or superficial. |

i've known many people that were the biggest homophobes before they came out of the closet, and when they did...they were the flamingest gay man you ever met...so i don't think there is any great connection to what you're saying.
it may be narcissistic, but it has nothing to do with sexuality. as i've argued before...i think you'll generally find a trend among people that care about their appearance to succeed in other aspects of life as well. |

so does metrosexual only apply to a certain criteria like you have to have a faux do with a collar popped and tight jeans on and you take care of your clothes and the way you look?
or can a thug be metrosexual as well? like baby lotion and facial creams, cleans his sneakers and hats all the time. make sure all their clothes are fitted by reputable brands like mitchell n ness or something from BAPE?
be it we do away with the gay ideology, metro's basically take care of themselves much more, they pay attention to themselves, yes that can be categorized as vein and insecure but the fact of the matter is, metrosexual as a term has be categorized and associated with gay people or people who look really good (down to the eyebrows). |
