Scumfrog & Matthew Dekay *review* (pg. 3)

ScumFrog sucked as he has the last few times I've seen him. Dekay was pretty good but I expected alittle more.. oh well he still got me dancing.
The boys upstairs all spun some pretty good tunes and the back room ROCKED!
Thanks to Thee-o and the other DJs that blew the roof off. LOL
Great meeting Gypsygirl and re-meeting Junior again. Hope to meet more TAs in the days to come.
BTW... CIRCUS has added another EAW Sound system to the new big room. It now has the same concert speakers that Avalon has right above the stage. :eyespop: |

At 2 Matthrew Gets on and transistions well out of Jesses set. This was the first time Matt has ever been in La and I was really impressed. He mixed a lot of housey, progy, trancy elements into his set. I danced my ass off. I only reconized on Track and that was Bad. The entire club went off when he played that.
The Dance floor was packed but not ubber packed, and I like that. More room to dance and move around. :D
It was Great danceing with all the TA's there. Bjorn I loved your sunglasss btw! hehe
SOOOO MUCH FUN!!! WEEEE :):)
I took a lot of pictures but a lot of them are really Crapy:(:( For some reason my Cam was off this week. I can not wait untill I can bring it in to get it looked at. |

I'm far from a Dave Dresden...
However... I've seen Michelle write this a couple times on here about me. Just wondering if she knows the dynamic of "opening" a room.... and not playing a bunch of banging tracks that would overshadow who you're opening for.
Again, not bitter... just pointing something out. |

| yo Brett.....u in rocked IMO...there was this track that richard said he gave to u....I WANT!!!!! lol....ive seen Brett open about a zillion times and i was never bored....but dont take anything personall Brett....this infact is "Tance" Addict and most people wont always feel what u play! but keep up the good work dude! |

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it, I have some great stuff at the moment so it's cool that you had a good time.
hahaha true. It is Tranceaddict.... and I know what I play is far from Trance. AND people are entitled to their own opinions ;)
Anywho, I 'm looking forward to a middle slot so I can bang out some peaktime tunes and win Michelle's heart over !!! ;)

| I've always enjoyed Brett King's sets even though he doesn't spin TRANCE. His opening set was alittle mellower from other sets I've heard before but it was still good. I'd rather see & hear Brett King spin any time than to have a Buzz Kill from that ScumFrog. :whip: |

i agree with clovis brett, opening isnt easy... and as you put it you have to be very concious about the flow and energy of your set in respect of not overthrowing the headliner.
ps. don't take the flaming on this forum too seriously. think of it this way... WOULD YOU TAKE RETIREMENT ADVICE FROM A NEWBORN?... my point exactly... ^^ |

Id have to say between Scumfrog and Matthew ..that was the best music I've heard in awhile... Just what I needed thats for sure! EVERYONE WAS DANCING!!!!!!!It was great!! I even did a little wishy washy with my asian friend... ( just for funn!!!):haha: Arfboy and Bjorn!!wooo yaaaa you guys ROCK!!! To those TA's that were not there..you were MISSED!! I thought of you guys the entire time wishing I could record the night for you...definately a night that you guys would have enjoyed!! ( Mike, Carrie, Robert..)
I had a blast!! Definately cannot wait to see these guys again... !! GREAT TIMES... Thank you Michelle... Mike ( for saving the day again..in a few ways!!) Aj( remind me to kick you), Peter.. The Scumfrog, and Matthew... What a weekend!!!!
