Being in the insurance industry and hearing how everyone hates insurance companies....it pisses me off that people who try and cheat the system screw it up for everyone else. I hate insurance companies too...I get no deals on my insurance but my rates would be a lot lower if people didn't try and cheat the system.
Insurance is a product we purchase for peace of mind and financial security...insurance isn't purchased so that someday you can get money back for it....ideally....you should never have to use insurance. When insurance companies increase your rates it's not to recover costs but to properly assess future costs. You have to remember that the cost of insurance determined on a perspective basis and not a retrospective basis. |

Don't get me wrong...I am happy for your brother...I was so happy when I got my first car....I am trying to help your brother from making a big mistake that could cost him a lot more money if he gets caught....it's great to have a vehicle but if it has to sit in the driveway because you can't get insurance that really sucks. |

let me tell u something. I have a friend whos family was origionally from argentina. I asked the father how was it hard coming to toronto and finding a way to earn a living. he said no, i came here and looked at the easiest way to cheat everyone out of a buck, and that was thru insurance. everybody pays and hardly anybody claims
i have no sympathy for insurance companies, they lie cheat and steal like anyone else. |

oh how little you know....if insurance companies lied cheated and stole the government would be all over them....when it comes to auto insurance the government pretty much controls what the insurance companies can and cannot do.
When it comes to earning a quick buck...you are right...insurance is the easiest way to do it. Moral and I have debated on whether or not to write a book on how to cheat the insurance companies. We could make huge money doing that....and being in the industry we know what the companies look for when investigating fraud. |

| yeah back to the thread. i remember my first car was this buick. thing was a in boat. but it was mad cool. only car u could fit like 10 of ur friends in and have a huge spliff hotbox session. also the horn sounded like a in train. used to scare ppl on the sidewlaks with it. bad ass. |

Simple answer....the investment income is greater......there is not a single insurance company that makes a profit on the premium dollars you pay....for each dollar of premium taken in on auto insurance companies pay out approximately $1.05 on claims.
