As if it hasn't gotten 'to be whored out' written all over it. It's just one more tune in the 'Murder was the bass' category, i.e., nothing too special, yet appealing enough for a wide variety of DJs.

I do not deem you stupid enough to not have seen that coming.

True, and fixed. I knew who originally posted it though, so it doesn't change my opinion.

Certain DJs know how to use it right, some open their sets with it.

Alot of people make filler tracks, Ive made quite a few over my time, you cant play banging stuff for 2 hours straight, if you do, you arent a DJ, besides ever hear of trying new things ? Artists are allowed to go in a different direction every once in a while, and not just use the same synth, same pads, same for every track they put out

I'm pretty sure that can be done properly as well. Maybe not as an opener (you'd only scare people away from the dancefloor with that rediculously long buildup), but that's not what we were talking about.

*waits for a new Angello track without the buzzing synth

:p

Just kiddin' I like the sound, I'm just saying if you keep using it you'll be like Andy Moor with that damn bassline.

did i say anything to indicate i'm against trying new things? and do you really call this trying new things? it sounds like all your other tunes except it's emptier. what i meant is why would you make a half-assed tune on purpose? i could understand it if you only wanted to use it in your own sets, but why throw it out for relase then, a-side even? personally i could never call a tune finished untill i think it's really great, but people are different i guess.

people have different opinions of what might be "great"...

personally, i really dig 'Breathe' and i don't think it's "filler"... it's got enough energy to be used as a floorfiller at the right time (in the right set), yet it's also steady enough to be used to build up the energy of a set. it's a pretty diverse tune.

but what the hell do i know... i'm a n00b DJ :stongue:

ur quite the idiot in the first place for asking why someone would make a filler song... if u think a producers job or djs job is to only put out/play massive songs ur very wrong. Any good dj, hell any dj that knows anything will tell you its the filler songs that make the difference in your sets, not the anthems u drop. Anyone can drop anthems but its what u play inbetween or to build up to them that makes the difference, how well u can keep people dancing in between ur big songs. Since angello djs too, its pretty obvious he made it for this purpose, a good song to keep people dancing while giving them a break at the same time.

good filler is the key to any djs set, without it ur just another radio dj dropping hits, which anyone can do.

just cause you dont classify this song as a "choon" doesn't mean its not a good song. I'd rather have an abundance of great filler than your "really great" anthems, makes your set much more diverse and you can take it many more directions.

He released this song for 2 reasons.. all djs need good filler, which is exactly what this song is.
and the $$$$ haha

Wyndham
lol as far as anyone playing aftermath in a trance set, u need help.
and for opening with it... what a way to waste a great song, this song should be dropped late in the set and late in the night to get the real effect.

when its dropped at the right time with the right build up, its amazing.
espically if u've had a constant beat/no breaks going for an hour +, then drop into this, place will loose it.

idiot to you too. when i say a great tune, i don't mean an anthem. i don't rate the greatness of a tune depending on how "big" they sound. i know how to build a set, but i don't play any "filler" tracks, neither do i play many, if any "anthems". you build a set by using tracks with different levels of energy while keeping a nice flow.
what Angello said made it sound like he didn't put any effort into it and just made it for the money. the tune sounds like it took an hour or 2 to make, so he probably did.
