Hey TA's, here's the latest tune from [p.e.g] It's dreamy melodic trance.

p.e.g - luminence (192Kbps)

I hope you enjoy as much fun listening as I had fun making it! Any feedback at all is be very much appreciated :)

*edit* now finished, and there's no cuts in the audio anymore. I hope you enjoy it!

It sounds pretty cool and the rythme kept me listening but (this was either a part of the song or compression mistake)a couple of times, the volume would shoot way down for a second. Other than that, it flows very well.

Thanks for listening mate!

Just so everybody knows, the volume fades are there on purpose, because I'd like to incorporate some feedback from TAs before finalising the mix. Also it's potentially being licensed for an upcoming CD.

Hey there. Great work you have here. Lets get started.

The intro, I especially like the percs, and the blending of the synths here. The rising synth that starts coming in around :45-:55ish, is great.

Around 1:20, the main synth, I definately dig it. Nice job, great break.

As the track grew, I fell in love with the general feel. The melody just... Has what every melody should have, along with the full song, I really have no downsides to it, not my normal genre of listening, but definately a good hit.

Great job on this man,

(get that EQ fixed!)

I really liked "Whatever", so I thought I would give this one a listen...

It's good , but I like "Whatever" a little more than this one, I think it just has a better melody for me, but that's just me.;)

I'll load it on the ipod and give it a good listen, perhaps it will be one of my new favs.

keep the great tracks coming though!

The melodicness comes in the second it starts! Like it's ready to go and it means trancy business. (BTW i toally enjoyed system shock it makes me cry every time with those vocals).
:o

Anyways this track has some weird volume thing plaguing it.
The energy is felt through out the track. But I wish there we're a snare in there to alert me there is a climax coming in. At the break there is excellent subtle silent with the melody blaring at full speed and giving a sense of intensity rising. The saw lead gives it a thick nice feel, but again once it goes back into the kick and so on, I wish it would've had a snare roll a reverse crash and a final crash to break the melody into the kick. you know like drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrCrash! kick kick kick kick

It's got a great melody yet it's missing some elements. Some thicker fuller pads would've done it some justice!

back to producion for me! Keep the tunes coming!

excellent explanation there, i love it.

hey man, good to hear some new stuff from you.

i really like where your bass and kick are at, they sound really nice. however, the bass seems to really clash with the kick on beats 1 & 3 of every measure. some minor eqing should take care of that. synth-wise is almost there. there are quite a few different synths going on, but a few of them just seem noticably weaker than the others. i would also suggest smoothing out the transitions a bit. but once everything kicks in it sounds really nice. very euphoric and emotional.

keep it up man, hopefully this makes it to the cd.

btw, isn't it spelled "luminance" with an 'a' not an 'e'??
djlogik
I really like the track. Pretty much what tylerc said...I feel the kick and bass somewhat clash together on 1 & 3. EQ and you'll be in great standing.

cheers for the feedback guys, it's muchly appreciated :)

bassaka : thanks heaps! i see you've got some tracks up for listening, i'll check em in a sec
ethereal: cheers dude, i made some synths brighter but am not too sure as to where next; is it just the buried synth at the start or are the main section's saws too dull? argh!
zookeeper: thanks man, good to hear you liked "whatever". the melodies there were alright but the tune pretty scattered.
kris xperiment: volume thing is on purpose, like i said ;) other than that, excellent point about drrrrrrrCrash! kick kick kick kick. I'm gonna have to do it, the breakdowns are a little weak because of that. nice idea!
tylerc: thanks heaps man, means a lot coming from you. I know what you mean about the bass + kick clashing, i might have to make some volume adjustments. luminence with an a... you crazy americans! could be right, could be wrong. which dictionary? anyway that's the name, like it or lump it... even though it's misspelled ;)
djlogik: cheers! I'll adjust the bass on 1&3 to be sure, to be sure...

thanks again everyone for listening!!

hey phill, i like this effort alot more than 'whatever'.. the sounds are all quite nice and the tune has a really warm and nice feel to it which is great

like i said to you on msn, i dont really like that hi pitched arp that comes in but that could just be my taste.
