I'm sure I'm not the only one here who likes to take clubbing/festival trips to different cities and countries.
It seems like there's not many people from the Toronto area who like to do this, but part of the experience is meeting people from other places, right.
Any other TAs with the travel bug out there?
Where has everyone been and where do want to go? |

which reminds me..has anyone ever worked in ibiza? how hard would it be to find a job? and holland for that matter. |

theres a whack load of TAs that will be heading over to WMC & MMC in 2006. theres a bunch that are planning a trip to DV & Ibiza in summer. i myself have been to amsterdam berlin aussie and england.
a few of the pplz travel over to newyork often or to motor city. our own swamper and the gang was over in san fran for love parade earlier this year.

in ibiza in order to land the good jobs, you need to be there by the begining of the season, by may or june.
usually they give accomidation and stuff like that. |

planning on a trip in a while... prob. 2007.... trip for 2006 is gonna be north america somewhere... not sure yet...
without a the dutch social insurance number... i believe its called a sofi(sp) nummer... you're not getting work... at least not at a decent rate, you have to compete with all the other illegal foreigners, and there are plenty, that being said there are more then enough people that back pack and get stuck in amsterdam doing something... my advice would be to look up a backpacker website/forum or talk to people that frequent or work in hostels.. they'll be the best to help cause odds are they're working illegally as well....
also be aware that in holland there is a huge crack down now against immigrants, and as much as the dutch love to play with their rhetoric... allochten vs. autochten (north american & european immigrants vs. turkish/morrocan east european immigrants)... there is a huge anti-foreigner trend in the netherlands these days... and this crack down has resulted in the pursuit of companies that hire illegal foreigners...
sorry to be the bearer of bad news... but its not as bad as it seems... if you remember to pm me when you're close-ish to the travel date i can see if any of my friends can hook you up with some work while you're there... (prob. not but at least i can try)

if its corporate then i have no idea, but if its leasure like waitress, bartender, promoter...etc then you dont need a visa. |

yup. But good luck finding a job that's worthwile over there. And as previously mentioned, even the jobs are gone very early in the season. |

Tatgirl is the most well-travelled TA I know... She's been to Dance Valley and events all over the world! She ends up meeting a lot of the DJs too (I believe she hung out with Maxi from Faithless a while ago).
Where are you, Nat? Do you have a list of all the places/parties you've been to? And all the DJs you know? |
