Well I for one think that this is total bull .
This wall crap is ing stupid, How about one between the US and Canada?? Oh thats right, Canada is mostly white.
And what jobs are these migrants taking?? The jobs that White AMerica will not do.
I can not wait to see what happens when the small biz here in America takes a hit. Prices go up for foods and manual labor work force shrinks to almost nothing.

Actually I have no idea what you're talking about. Lots of countries have protected boarders. The one between Canada and the US is the longest unprotected boarder if I'm not mistaken. Why not block Canada? Cause they are law abiding? I don't know :rolleyes: What jobs do "Mexicans" do that Americans wouldn't take? Oh yeah here's a little bit of information to you...AMERICA ISN'T JUST AMERICANS! Therefore just because John won't take the job it doesn't mean Ivan won't or Pierre or Gunther or whoever. In the 1930's and so on there weren't that many Mexicans and all the people still got their jobs done, though the market created more jobs there are still ton of people who'd do their jobs. Saying that Americans don't wanna do these jobs is rediculase because Americans get replaced by Mexicans/cheap labor even at lucrative physical jobs such as construction. I worked construction last summer for my family's friend's company. And his rival company was literally 90 percent mexicans except for a couple of artchitects and construction foreman and the manager/paperwork/owner people. My friend had to fire about 80 percent of his workers to hire cheap labor to keep up in profts because the other guy was being able to give out cheaper contracts than my friend who did a much better job, but in business that doesn't matter.
The only job i've seen Mexicans do here that no one else will do is working in those fruits/veggies stores for 12 hours a day stacking boxes. That's cause stores like these are revelantly new as the anti-supermaket kinda thing. You would/did/do get "white people" or as you so ignorantly put it "Americans" to work as a stock boy in a supermarket. |

Yeah, a wall between the U.S. and Canada because all those illegal Canadian migrants are flocking to the U.S. in the millions. Well with all of the unregulated illegal immigration and illegal immigrants here right now in the millions, I don't see that prediction of yours happening anytime soon.
Seriously guy quit waiving the racist wand, the more its used the less conviction it has. People are racist because they want to stop illegal immigration, Vincente Fox himself couldn't have said it better than you though. The U.S. doesn't have to answer to Mexico for building anything on U.S. territory and Mexico can go to hell.
The more this issue goes on and the more I hear the words of those in Mexico I become less open in my thinking of that place. With some of the choice words they use over there for Americans, check who the real racists are. |

the thing is though guys--
we NEED those workers. those workers stimulate OUR economy.. Why don't we just make it easier for them to get in an regulate? It would make more sense and it would help out me and all of you in the long run..they do not steal jobs from us because we are all mostly educated and they will do all the work that we dont want to! honestly! i really appreciate all the hard, mexican labor here in california. we'd be ed without it!!!! |

Have you not read the thread or have any knowledge of the situation? We been trying to get them to come here with a workers visa otherwise they just steal money from the "economy" especially when they send so much of it back.
and Lazy, most of the you mentioned is false and Americans do and are willing to do that. Plumbers get alot of money, chefs here make decent wage especially the ones who can cook because most mexicans can't come up with anything special. so on and so forth. |

That's why legal immigration exists in the first place, I know of no nation that would allow itself to be exposed to unchecked immigration across its borders illegally.
No offence buddy but bang up job being done in France with its immigrant population. Don't let me get started on the "black" Africans that live in squalor in abandoned apartment buildings in sheer blight and no proper safety with the buidlings constanstly on fire. You know what though of course the U.S. is a bad guy for wanting to control its borders and are imbecilic and lack wisdom of forethought for trying to do so. See everyone can be a critic now.
I am a diehard soccer fan and remembered when Mexicans were chanting Osama bin Laden's name at games between them and the U.S.in Mexico it told me a lot for sure. What troubles me is those who seem to think that the U.S. should continue to let people move across the border at their own pleasure and any step to deal with this is branded as racist. It'll take more than namecalling to change my mind about this issue particularly. |
