Naw, just making sure my landlord doesn't do any ing around when he shows up here tomorrow to check my "internet connection" to make sure I'm not using file sharing programs & hogging the buildings bandwidth... It's a long story, but basically the abbreviated version of it is that my landlord doesn't have a clue what's legal and what isn't, doesn't care, and while I'm at one of my finals tomorrow, he will be in my apartment, trying to access my computer, no doubt about it... Not only will I have my laptop with me at the final, but my other computer is password protected, I already found and installed a logger on it that will tell me every mouse click/keystroke/application start/login attempt that occurs with a timestamp... If it occurred while I was at a final, it was my landlord, which amounts to unlawful search (already spoke with a lawyer, lame I know, but I had a close connection who was familiar with my lease), which leads to me pwning my landlord...
He's a in' scumbag anyway... We did this to my neighbors PC too... I'm actually excited to see if he does try to access my computer...
Oh well, time to hide the glassware and produce... :p
Edit: And for the record, I'm not necessarily looking for evidence to nail this guy in court or anything, just something I can show him that will let him know I'm smarter than he is and not to with me... |

Just password protect your computer. When I say password protect I mean directly from BIOS. Some pc's have this feature in which Windows will not even boot unless you know the password. The only downside is if you forget the password. Easy as that my friend! |
