I headed over to a future shop in Waterloo today @ 2 and it was busy but not too bad. Some of the staff were saying people had lined up at midnight to get in there.

No real great deals. I got a new 42" Samsung DLP HDTV but I don't think I saved that much...maybe $500.00 but that's it.

my dad picked up a 19" lcd from compusmart...saved about 200-ish i think. at least he's happy.

Club Monaco is so played out. I think they're gonna go bankrupt soon.

To really find out how much you save...go back in a couple of months and see how much the same thing is selling for.

On another note....there is nothing I hate more then the sales people begging for you to buy the extended warranty.

For a 5 year extended warranty on the TV it would cost $348.00. I told the guy I didn't want it. He comes back and says his manager doesn't want anyone buying such a purchase without a warranty so they would give me the warranty for $148.00.

I told him if he wants me to have the warranty I will take it for free then. The sales guy didn't think that was funny. After speaking with the manager I was able to get the warranty for free.

that's sweet. I love testing peoples sense of humour.

I didn't go boxing day shopping this year. I had planned on it but my mom got called into work (we always go boxing day shopping) so I passed on it. I hate shopping by myself because I either spend too much or nothing at all. I like a 2nd opinion...for the most part. :p And most of my friends had family stuff to do.

So I'm goin out tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to find something!

Shopping alone on boxing day is the ... in and out asap. Don't have to waste time going to your friend's store when they can't make up their minds.

This goes for any kind of shopping in general. Going with someone else doubles your shopping time. I HATE shopping, so going with someone else is really pointless.

Good point. Boxing Day is when the vendors decide they want to start getting rid of their old stuff, but if they haven't sold it a few months later, that is when they will want to -finish- getting rid of it.
