Alohaa from saudi arabia.. This is B! (to LRs)...i'm lebanese living in KSA...new to EDM but into it a lot after a couple of gigs in my home country leb... Paul oakenfold and PVD.. i had a lot of my lebanese friends who attended almost all the gigs this year starting from paul oakenfold, paul van dyk, ferry corsten, tiesto(dubai & leb), armin van buuren(visited jordan as well), and in the coming 2006 above and beyond, john digweed and much more..and all of these are incluided in the top 100 djs on the trance addict website. so i think a middle eastern secion should be open on here. otehr lebanese members said..this year lebanon had and a nonstop trance season...which i think is great and me being a member in the Lebanese ravers is getting me a lot into that music.
1st Rule P.L.U.R

Wow theres something new, demands coming out of the Middle East...
Such a forum would quickly descend into a rotten cesspool of anger and political bickering. Anyone would be hardpressed to find genuine 'scene info' (what little there probably is) in all the crap.
Besides Swamper hasn't added anything new to the site since 1978. If you really want your own forum maybe you should talk to this guy. |
impressive... i didn't know that it is possible to find such racists as your self in any forum related to edm... well there's always a first time to everything... well as my first time comming across donuts like yourself i would like to inform you that such attitude is not acceptable in general and in this topic i would like to inform you that you either respect your self and respect others and use your ing brain if you have one BEFORE YOU POST or DONT ING POST ANY THING ON THIS TOPIC.
cheers to every one else. |

Dear Josh4,
Just wanna let you know that the community, which i'm currently in as a moderator, never discusses politics because the system is so ed up that even our politicians have been trying to solve the problem for years and with no results uptill to day.
On the other hand, where politics and politicians have failed in our community, we part of the minority of open minded people and PLUR adopters have shown great success over the year, by educating newbies to the EDM and by promoting EDM.
The mass international media is surely reflecting a bad image of lebanon-beirut to people like you, and that what disapoints the knowledgeable people and the people who have already experienced beirut.
Believe it or not with all the things happening around in lebanon, it's still the safest place on earth. locals never have the fear to walk in the streets at anytime of the 24hrs and the bombings and terrorist actions that have recently happened occured in uncrowded places which reflects that they targeted politicians and economical implants. The rate of criminal actions in our area is much lower than any country in the world.
Anyways am afraid the issue is greater than you and me and won't be solved if we discuss it from now till the end of days. All we have to do is to think wisely and search for an alternative untill the issue is solved.
Too bad that we are always encountered by people like you JOSH that are always converting our willingness for peace into racist ideas .
Sorry but i won't go into any racial or political debate anywhere in here cause i truly sense that this will delay the evolution progress of humanity.
And there is nothing rotten except the way you or somwone else have put things in your mind.

As for you i don't you're welcomed to discuss anything with us anymore, cause through ur posts u have prooved that you're an ignorant person and not worthy to open a discussion with. Educated and cultivated people around the world won't go into discussions nor count your voice if you always attack and moke other because of your racist believes.
We believe in equality! |

| Judging by the sheer abundance of moderator response... I don't think it's going to happen. |

Josh4,Thank you ..since you have now actually clearly illustrated why there is a clear need for a Middle East Forum..in order to break negative uniformed and deeply rooted sterotypes of the Middle East and its EDM scene. You are stating ur calim without knowing what is actually occuring with respect to the scene in the region.
We are here to share it with you and show u otherwise...and also aid the EDM scene itself in th eregion via our unity, the exchange of experinces and ideas from other bright and genuine EDM lovers.
Allow us to prove ourselves, since it surely be can be done..and i'm sure you'll also learn alot....all that is required is equlaity and respect...plus an open and willing mind!
Cheers and lets keep it positive shall we!! :)
( Late Happy New Year to all!) |
