It died when the DJ's stopped dancing, when chins were being stroked fashionably and everyone turned into promoters.
Its all there, but unfortunatly the house scene is dominating everything at the moment, find what attracts people to house music and there is your answer.
Nobody is better than anyone in this scene.
Find a new audience if the one you have has turned sour.

If this scene is dead, its because those of you who chose not to open your eyes to new ideas and new blood killed it with the mistaken idea that you didn't need the help of those of us (and I'm speaking for a few on here I know) who were willing to offer constructive criticism, feedback and assistance. And that's a shame. |
You must lead the rebellion to topple this corrupt regime o' paragon of virtue!

I can here the groans at me responding...
What attracts people (read girls) to house music is that they can sing along as they dance. The house music that is around at moment is really melodic as well where as the trance I here out is boring same beat stuff. |

DJ's seem to think that tracks have a shelf life of 6 months max before it gets old and dated when really if it was a great track back then, we all agree its still a good track..... so PLAY IT!
I dont think trance music at the moment can be considered party music. All my friends say they love trance at home or in the car but it would bore the out of them if they heard it played for a whole night at a club. The vibe and energy (not NRG) in trance productions is sorely lacking at the moment and while there may be good music by chinstroker standards going around it doesnt really make you want to move.
...that probably made no sense but i cant be bothered reading it again cos its so damn hot!! |

OMG!! I didn't know there was so little love between crews! So much fighting! Trance is about PLUR, where is the PLUR??
Anyways, I had this wicked idea last night whereby Future/Gatecrasher/and say the Obsession team (with the idea that team would then present all the trance stages at Future parties/other large parties...) put on a huge massive enormous par-tay, kind of celebrating the latest Gatecrasher Classics CD released whereby no DJ fears dropping 'real' anthems, along with future anthems (and maybs a few fillers ;) ) I know Gatecrasher has a stage at Adventjah, but not everyone went to Ballarat, and it was only late in the piece the stage was 'presented' by Crasher wasn't it??
There's enough branding to draw in a crowd (including old skoolers from 2001 and earlier who want to relive the glory days), plus the kids that hit the dancefloor every weekend now, plus a few noobs would be dragged along for the ride and probably love every minute cos the crowd would be LARGE, the music would be GOOD, the lasers will be REACHED FOR!!
Yeah anyways, I'm no promoter. The idea could suck balls. |

| Vee, its a good idea but "Oracle" (adventjah) own the contract to GC now and future wont touch GC with a 10 ft poll:sadgreen: |
