I said she's from the UK, she's here travelling and going to school in Vancouver, we drove back to Ontario together when we BOTH decided it best that we split. She left most of her belongings at my house. From there she went to Wisconsin for the past week and "SHE" wanted to spend more time with "ME". and as traveller... would you rather spend time in St. Catharines or Toronto? Ya, that's what "I" thoguht!

Why did you let her leave her belongings with you and not told her to take them to her family's in Wisconsin if she was going there anyway?

So she doesn't actually live in Ontario? Well then, let's play Junior Detective: she was getting guys' numbers. Guys she knew she wouldn't get together with because she's travelling around at the moment. Hence, why would she even ask for them? Hmmm... maybe it was to piss you off? Just maybe?

I missed your second post, so I'll address it now:

"I pretty much ignored her for the last hour or 2 of the night because of it. Watching other girls walk by me a hundred times themselves showing signs they wanted me to talk to them. But I respected the fact that my "ex" was still around."

WHY? She's your ex. According to you, the breakup was mutual. Hence there should have been no feelings left over, and both of you should have been fine with looking around again.

"But it still doesn't make up the fact that it's more that girls are the ones who seem to carelessly flaunt that they can get away with things that guys can't "

Who said you couldn't have gotten away with it? What would she have done? Broke up with you? Took her stuff out of your house? Slept in a hostel? Seems to me, getting girls' numbers is exactly what you should have been doing that night.

Lastly, I'm not even sure why you're getting defensive here. What are you getting mad at? At the fact that we're pointing out your obvious mistakes? Mistakes that even you admit doing?

its about nationality. Most canadian guys are suckers. The newer generations have been told that it's not ok to stand up for themselves.

It's definately a societal problem that we have.

And last i checked canadian isnt a race but is a nationality of many races.

I have travelled and lived in other places and i can firmly say that north american men, and especially canadian men have a lot to learn about how act when it comes to women. That being nice doesnt mean being a sucker. And i make no apologies for that observation.

Its funny (ironic) that the women's movement (which is now pretty much mainstream canadian society) encourages women to stand up for themselves but then belittles men when they chose to stand up for themselves or encourage other men to.

Your defensiveness to peoples replies shows me that you are not over the relationship.... and the fact that people are telling you to move on is obviously something that you are having a hard time doing.

Being a woman (AND a sex and relationship therpist) I can tell you that this girl knew exactly what she was doing and is playin ya like a fiddle. Sorry you had a bad night, but perhaps you can learn from it and also from what everyone seems to unanimously be saying to you ;) Hope everything works out.
Mortyman
The only reason I'm getting defensive is because people are telling me it's my fault she's done these things right in front of me, because some people feel "I" had some part in "her" actions. People blaming me because I was being a nice guy and not throwing her on the street like a $5 hooker. That's all.

I wasn't even expecting it to go this far :stongue: I just needed to vent! Apparently I touched a soft spot :nervous:

nobody is blaming YOU for anything. all we're saying is each person here has been given the right of free will. For every action there is a reaction.

you asked for our advice and our thoughts on the situation and the fact u decided to act the way u did,we're saying, actually made things worse. There is no wrong way to handle a situation but there are better ways to handle them. All we're doing is pointing out your mistakes, not judging you, so then next time a girl tries to play with ur head, you'll be able to see it and react differently towards it.

You got treated ty, but u did nothing to change the situation. thats all we're pointing out. just personally im a lil more harsh with the truth then other ppl are.
Vivid Boy
actually u know what, why the am i helping this kid out.

the fact is ur a lil bitch and ur ex exposed it. and the fact u came to an online forum for emotional support just made that lil bitch in you magnify by 100 percent.

heres some good hard advice. turn off the comp. call up the chick tell her to go herself and ur done. never call her again. sit back down, unzip ur pants and dont stop staring at ur privates till uve grown a set of balls. then take two of these and call me in the morning.

and dont forget to pick up mine and diginut's book, make sure its not the sasha edited version, or else u might find urself a lil emotional and sucking large dick

off topic> yankeeBaby that is a HOT pic of armin :eyes:

On topic> Mortyman forgive me but am so bad with names but I saw u post ur NYE pics and now I know who u are! and I remember meeting you ex that night. Pretty girl...and wow very ing immature as I have talked to u enough to know you are a good guy and u have a good head on your shoulders...

and I am even more pissed off b/c u are a very good looking guy who is really sweet and it makes me sick that u have let this girl practically ruin the night for u!! :whip:

Honest to god...I do not beleive nice guys finish last...but you really have to think about yourself for a change. She obviously has no respect for you...so why do u even bother.

I wish you all the best is Australia...and hopefully the next girl you meet will work out alittle better...and Gadamn that australian accent...ing sexy!

hence my (??) "behind racist"

and NO, this isn't about nationality. this is about one guy. your generalization makes YOU look rather ignorant. however, i don't think from YOUR posts that all argentinian guys are like you (thank god for that). hell, i know from meeting you that even YOU aren't like you :haha:

every canadian i've met is um..well what ya know..different. some are suckers, some are s..most are somewhere in between. i've noticed the same for united states guys, and brazilian guys, and aussie guys and briish guys..and dutch guys (yum)

but then again, maybe argentina was special..or maybe your women were stupid. they would hafta be to put up with some of the you say
Vivid Boy
you of all ppl should know im the ta drama king. and with a situation with as much drama as there was, how in the world would i have been able to turn my back on it ;)
