Eric, for a sec I thought you were sane for once but you redeemed yourself with that second post. LMAO

Jay, your comments does seem a bit off. Canadian guys are told not to stand up for themselves? Where did you get this from?

Everybody takes a bit of , but then after a short while you start to (or at least I do) get reeeeeeaaaaaalllllllllly sick of it...

and NO, this isn't about nationality. this is about one guy. your generalization makes YOU look rather ignorant. however, i don't think from YOUR posts that all argentinian guys are like you (thank god for that). hell, i know from meeting you that even YOU aren't like you :haha:

every canadian i've met is um..well what ya know..different. some are suckers, some are s..most are somewhere in between. i've noticed the same for united states guys, and brazilian guys, and aussie guys and briish guys..and dutch guys (yum)

but then again, maybe argentina was special..or maybe your women were stupid. they would hafta be to put up with some of the you say

im not argentine, not even blood related to an argentine. Im a canadian. And generally speaking. Canadian guys are whipping boys. Ive seen it over and over again. You are right, not all of us are that way. But its safe to say that *most* are.

As for the stuff i say, if you notice the common theme in what i have to say is equality and self diginity. I know that these are evil things for males in canada to stand for but i make no apologies for it.

and mortyman: glad u didn't ditch her in TO.

that being said she shoulda slept on the couch, and u shoulda left her alone at the club to do your own thing.

she shouldn't have been grabbing at you when you were talking to other girls, and she shouldn't have been whoring infront of view (no, i have no problem girls handing out their #s to guys. i picked up my last 3 boyfriends and made all the first moves. but this girls motives were pure revenge)

but most importantly, you shouldn't be hanging out with her. u need space after a breakup. if there is no spaces, its only b/c (at least) one of you wants to get back together still

take a look at examples from this thread for one. There are several people in here that think that he was "nice" for doing what he was doing. I happen to think that being nice doesnt mean being a sucker and standing up for yourself. But apparently that just makes you an .

agreed...

and mortyman should take his own advice in the title of the thread. Had he followed it he wouldnt be in the situation in the first place.

If this had happened to me i would have been the nice guy by driving her home and giving her a stern lecture all the way home on how to respect people. Then i would have returned to the party and had the time of my life.

sorry to bust the bubble, but how you see your online persona is not how most perceive your onine persona to be. and again, you made this thread into something it had nothing to do with. you have the tendency to beat a dead horse, in inappropriate times (aka..here and now)

its very appropriate to comment about canadian guys here. Because hes a prime example of how many would react in this situation.

As for my online persona. I really dont care because people who know me know who i am and what im about. You can never get your true self across on an internet chat room and i dont even attempt to try to. This is just a place to express opinions. And opinions are a very small part of daily life.

If having a strong opinion is offensive, too bad. I really dont care.

i wish MORE people had strong opinions and weren't scared of expressing them. Maybe then our society would get more things accomplished.

i personally don't think this was a prime example of how canadians would act. most guys i know wouldn't have put up with that. maybe you know only guys:conf:

i don't care if you have strong opinions. i learn a lot from you. some things (rarely) i agree with, but for the most part, you help me form my own opinions on issues i previously haven't put much interest in. strong opinions are good. yours are good, albeit misplaced in this case
