Ok, so you might have not MENT that she was a naive person BUT you DID say that Robbie's comment was 'bull.' Which is what I was referring to in my response. Maybe you didn't clearly understand what he was trying to point out. Don't be so quick to call somebody bull when you personally don't know the person they are talking about. Make sense? Good....now go eat a dog bone. |
Well, in an attempt to try and make it clear for you, his response to me WAS bull (meaning that it was irrelevant) considering that he totally misconstrued my post and started going off on his own separate tangent about her optimistic nature - which isn't something that I had ever even questioned to begin with. Now all you're doing is perpetuating the bull by continuing to divert that original argument towards one of actual character assessment, which again is something that I had never even engaged in.
Honestly, though, I don't even know where you could be trying to go with this as you seem to be misconstruing everything that I've posted in this thread thus far. Also, you should probably save your stinky little bone for someone that might appreciate it as I'm more than content in being a heterosexual. |

I was overly promiscuous for much of my youth and haven't really cared about the ladies for a few years now. I've never had any trouble with them, either, so I'm not really too worried about that part. I've just had too many girlfriends in the past and because of that I never fully concentrated on myself - something that I see as necessary for both improving upon and defining my intellectual capacity as well as my individual character - but I wouldn't expect you to understand what I'm talking about.
I also don't spring from one girlfriend to the next like a lost puppy dog searching for a place to call home. I'm very happy with being alone, but that's not to say that I couldn't fall in love if I found the right woman. Finding that right one is the hardest part, and being picky as all hell makes it only that much more difficult. It's hard to find a companion that has both brains and beauty, and by beauty I mean both inward and outward. It seems that many people simply cling to relationships out of either convenience or (in)security, or that they simply never learned critical thinking skills and are just going along with the dictates of society.

I just got the razr tonight (Verizon). I don't think I'm really impressed with it, especially sound quality on calls. Haven't tried the speakerphone, yet. I have heard it's good. Anyone else got it and like it? |
yeah i agree, the thinness is awesome but the voice quality isnt clear enough |

Razr phone is the most overrated technology equipment that I've run across. My buddy has it and I don't even want to answer when he calls the static is so bad. He switches to another phone and it's crystal clear so I know it's the phone. And this was his second one. It's thin but wide so nothing special there. The colors are aiiight but not as good as my LG.
Bleh! |

does anyone know the girl in the background of this picture?
My phone got stolen at Pacha on Friday night while I was taking a pic with my friend. Well, we just got the pic and you can see the girl stealing my phone!! She has her hand on my phone and is looking at the camera. I set my phone right there on the counter so I could take the picture with my friend. two seconds later it was gone. :( my brand new mp3 player phone with a brand new memory card and 300 + important numbers! totally sucks.
just curious if anyone recognizes this chick.

Seeing as how I don't know very much German, I don't know how easy it would be for me to convey much of my knowledge to you in terms that you would clearly understand. However, I could suggest some good books to help get you started, if you're really interested. And hey, at least you have a good excuse for not fully grasping the English language - the same can't be said for others who were actually born and raised in this country. |

Well, I don't think that you can accurately paint that picture with such broad strokes. We American's haven't destroyed the English language, we've just perverted it a bit. While we're all somewhat responsible for succumbing to the forces of the blanketed, mass-media disseminated ignorance that appears to be so prevalent in our society, the greatest concentration of those people being "dumbed down" seem to be the ones who have no inclination towards either reading and/or raising their own intellectual consciousnesses beyond that of what they see and hear in either magazines, on the radio, or on television.
I think that many Americans would rather just play dumb simply because they've been erroneously led to believe that it's the cool thing to do.
Anyway, here's an interesting tidbit that I was just reading from Robert Sylwester (Emeritus Professor of Education at the University of Oregon):

I don't really expect you guys to read it, though.
