1. Marcel Woods-'Advanced'. If there was ever an example of an EDM song that people will bash for sounding like a ringtone...
2. Gabriel & Dresden-'Tracking treasure down'. Maybe it's a good song but I don't have an ear for pop. It's not even EDM and if it is, it's a genre on it's own.
3. PVD-'The other side'. Like sitting out your best player, you have to speak up and be honest when something is bad, and what's worse is deep down he knows this was crap. Big ups to Martin Roth for salvaging some credit.
4. Randy Katana-'Play it loud(er)'. He could have at least thought up of his own crappy breakdown:rolleyes:.
5. Marco V-'False Light'. It's not even the lyrics so much as the song just does nothing for me.

what the hell do you know about music.

lolz...sorry, just had to be done heheheh

Between the tracks u listed and Kris listed ... i beg to differ.
Summerdream was a tune that started popping up in mid/late 2004. it didnt get much play back then but at that time i was fanatic over this tune. but then PvD got a hold of it in late 2004 and early 2005. As much as i fawking love PvD even i admit he drove this tune down into the grave yard. The remix is brilliant in my opinion but played out way toooo much. Same is the case with Top Gear and Advanced. Every single Dj in every single sountry in every single club has pumped these tunes at one point or another.

As me and Ben were talking just yesterday how some of the great tunes have escaped the wrath brought onto them by top 10 djs and it is good that way because we will love the tune forever and will not hear it in every freaking set for next year or so. Except for Tracking Treasures Down which is on the same path as others ... all those tunes have been played out and some of them have even found their way on Z103.5 lolz so ummm yea maybe thats why those tunes sound crap now but i gotta admit, when they first came out and when I first heard them i was bouncing off walls :) and thats just my opinion but then again what do i know about music lolz

*edit*
by the way has anyone heard about a new PvD production? the vocals are something along the lines of " the world in my eyes " ???

Sacrilege!
Shamen DJ's
My EDM / Trance Tracks of 2005

1) Mark Norman - False Vegas
2) Cosmic Gate - The Drums ( Back 2 Back Mix )
3) Marcel Woods - Cherry Blossum

I would expect all those DJ's to be bigger in 2006 than in 2005; in fact in 2 weeks Cosmic Gate & Mark Norman will be spinning in Philly for the first time ( I'll be making a road trip for that one ). Also Preach and Dave Clarke should be huge this year, and hopefully I finally get to see them.

As for Tiesto, I deliberately did not go to Glow the last time he spun there, and several people that went said he put on a long mixed CD ( the DJ version of Millie Vanilli ) and ignored the crowd. Why did I not go?
Because when I did see Tiesto the previous Febuary, it was very disappointing considering I could go see several local DJ's spin better ( less cheezy ) sets and pay alot less money. On top of that, he ignored the crowd, left early, and didn't even sin any autographs ( not that I asked for one, but many people were really offended by that ). Personally Tiesto looked like he was there only because he wanted his paycheck, and that was very disappointing from someone whose productions I really respected.

I don't expect much from the trance world this year when it comes to new productions....personally, trance is starting to loose some of its appeal to me.

I agree on the trance thing. I've evolved onto progressive/tech-house plus the hard stuff. That leads me into Carl. He is doing some good stuff lately, really good. I'm excited for 2006 and what Mr. Cox has got for us.

Lets hope he'll be back in 2006 for a visit with us.....

TRANCE!!!! I just dicovered it and I love it!!!

2005 was my first year in trance so I cant compare trends in the music and scene but I can honestly say that I never partied this much and this good before. I totally enjoy the music, scene and partying with the ppl I met on TA- its been awesome!!!

I started off with no one other but TIESTO (dec 11, 2004) - fell in love with it ( NOT him- Im talikng about the music and the scene). Then I joined TA and began discovering other talented and great DJs whos music I really enjoy.
Its like a whole new world that I had no idea even existed opened up right in front of me!
Party-wise its been the best year so far for me.

DJ that I have seen and really liked:
Armin
Blank and Jones
Tiesto
Marco V
Rank 1
Markus
Andy Moor
Signum
Nick Warren

I hope to see these DJ in 2006 as well
