The future of trance......

So Im sitting here. Listing to something techy from Gareth Emery. And Im wondering what is the future of trance? I mean lets say 5 to ten years from now. Which dj is playing the right sound at the moment. a sound that will still be the fore runner of trance in the future. There sure are a lot of dj's out there who are still yet to come into their own. I mean check out menno de jong for example. where do we see PVD and the gang in next 10 years? Maybe too many questions, but worth a thread nonetheless..

I was going to ask the same question but based on technology.

Any hardware techys know how quickly sound hardware technology is advancing and if it has much effect on trance and the EDM spectrum?

The young DJ's to watch are Jon O'Bir & Sander Van Doorn. Both have a unique style SVD with his productions are moving the tech side on leaps and bounds. Uplfiting/euphoric trance is a victim of samey structure but if a producer can make great tunes then a great DJ like O'Bir will play them and get dance floors moving which is what we all want

It will also depend on what VST's will be made available from the music industry in the future as well....

i predict cybernetic endo-skeletons in the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger will take over for tiest0r and pvd and ruuule trance

the big djs will stay at the top now and new breakthroughs will very much be in the minority. SvD should do it as long as his productions contuniue to be awesome. I think the market for superstar djs will start to drop but there will be a continuation of dance festivals.

if gareth emery is the future of trance, trance is in a very sorry state
Mr.Mystery

No, really.

You there! Stop laughing.
