i feel your pain.
it is a common mistake we humans suffer a lot.
as we are in the middle of embarrasments and sports , a couple of weeks ago, my team and i were playing an organized football game with this other team. pretty good team, by the way. i thought we were outmatched, but we were playing them nose to nose. it was fourth down , i'd say about th 4 yard line, and i go out to the corner of the end zone. the quarterback was getting pressured so he has to shift to his right. i shifted a little to the right with him, so he could get a good angle to throw me the ball. he heaved the ball at me. it's a little high, and i thought i could catch it. and splat! i ran into the back of the end zone iron fence, and the ball hits me in the middle of the chest. i had a second attempt to try to catch the ball, but no avail, the ball popped out. :( . me FTL .

So I do all that and get to the gym, still about 30 minutes before the game. Walk down to the basketball courts and I'm feeling like a swell guy. Go to the first court and don't see any of the guys, so I walk to the second court.
I see my team getting blown out by 30 with 9 minutes to go in the second half. One of the guys calls time-out and comes running over to me and says "Man, get in there; I'm going to puke." I'm not feeling so swell anymore.
Man, I hate when I let people down. It's been a long time since I've done something boneheaded like that.
