So I leave to go to my league basketball game tonight a little early. I'm like, "Well, I'll stop at Eckerd's and get some Gatorade for all the guys and while I'm there I'll get a 20 cashback and I'll pay for the ref tonight, my treat for the guys because I'm swell."
So I do all that and get to the gym, still about 30 minutes before the game. Walk down to the basketball courts and I'm feeling like a swell guy. Go to the first court and don't see any of the guys, so I walk to the second court.
I see my team getting blown out by 30 with 9 minutes to go in the second half. One of the guys calls time-out and comes running over to me and says "Man, get in there; I'm going to puke." I'm not feeling so swell anymore.
Man, I hate when I let people down. It's been a long time since I've done something boneheaded like that.

No, my bad. Game was at 8 and I thought it was at 9. FTL.
But to my defense, I did Text the team captain to confirm the game was at nine and he didn't text me back.
But still, I felt like I woke up in the middle of class naked or something when I walked in and saw us getting blown out. |
