Who's this Markus Schulz guy?

Just saw him (Markus Schulz) the other night in ATL. It was incredible! I thought it was just some radio DJ. He had a very unique, awesome dark but uplifting, style, something that PVD _used_ to have, and I was very surprised. Not a lot of people there, so it was even cooler. How come I never hear about these underdogs? He's way better than any trance DJ i've seen in a long time. Anyone else think he's awesome, or did I just hear a bunch of songs? Cause, I think he did an amazing job.

i havent heard a set of his since like 2004. early 2004 maybe 2003 when he was IMO @ his peak. his coldharbour cd. go buy it. its so delish!

personally i think Markus Schulz is pretty good. nice selection of tracks, though lately he has begun to imitate Armin van Buuren of ASOT a bit too much rather than his older darker style.

as a DJ he's pretty good too, as i enjoy some of the sets he plays on his radio show, Global DJ Broadcast.

so, in my book he's ok :D :toothless

Markus Schulz is amazing . His uplifting yet dark style is unique , thats what I like about his sets or his Coldharbour Compilation . It is uplifting yet it is sad stuff.

Dammit... how many times did dad say, "Don't ever buy something someone told you to buy off of an internet forum, especially trance addict!"

he was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better back in the end of 90s when he was doing harder and more acid oriented trance together with CL McSpadden under the Edge Factor guise. Also his DJ:ing style was much better back then. Nowadays it's fluffy, sleepy and utterly boring .

His Coldharbor CD from '04 is awesome. His artist album Wothout You Near had some good tracks as well.

...with the most trite and ridiculous vocals and vocalists that sound like something you'd expect to hear from a 7th grader (NOTE: "First Time" & "Somewhere"), which does nothing to help his cause any.

i never really liked anything from the guy... stuff is too fluffy and all that crap.. sounds like he's trying to fit in with the rest of the fluffy trance djs.. maybe i might enjoy some of his older stuff that rebel9 wrote before, that stuff sounds like it might be good
