Oh yeah? Well, Sasha needed to light up a cig behind the booth once, so I pulled out my Zippo, reached a across from the front of the crowd, he takes it from me, lights his cig, and proceeds to never give it back! At the end of the night, he put it in this pocket while packing up. Sasha stole my Zippo!
I didn't care, though. Thought it was awesome, lol. It was one of those Zippos you get for free when you give those Marlboro people your info (usually just scan you license) so they can send you stuff in the mail. I only have about 30 more of them, haha. |

This is one area where i gave mad props to ferry and yeah armin too.
They actually care about the fans and sign every possible autograph.
Granted if you were trying to have a dinner and a fan mad rushes you how would you ing feel? Top superstar dj trying to eat his cheese or not :stongue: I am sure he just wants to relax.
If you act like a idiot then i command tiesto or any dj for that matter for NOT signing it. |

You interrupt his meal and birthday celebration and he was nice. Be glad he didn't tell you to get lost. One of my pet peeves are people who think celebrities are obligated to do what a fan wants when he wants it. They're never allowed to be in a pissy mood. They're never allowed a quiet dinner. They can't wait for their plane in peace. But I guess I was never an autograph seeker and tend to leave celebrities alone when I see them. The most I would do would be a handshake and "love your music/sets".
Now, if they're rude at a fan meet/autograph session type thing, that's a different story.
It does make you appreciate people like Ferry & Armin though. It's always a bonus when someone is almost always friendly. |

I met Tiesto on Saturday when flying from MIA to LAX. I was walking to my gate and when I looked down I saw him on the phone and said:
Me: Tiesto..?

So as I'm walking through first class, Tiesto notices me, smiles and gives me a thumbs up.
Me: Hey, can you sign my headphones when we get to LA?
Tiesto: Sure
Me: Awesome, can you wait for me at the gate?
Tiesto: Okay.
So I slowly make my way to my seat and basically for 5 hours stare out the window praying the plane doesn't crash. Once the plane finally landed I went to look for him, we ended up at the baggage claim thingy and talked about everything from the weather to trance for about 20-30 minutes. One thing that really stuck was when I asked him about Sasha - Belfunk (Matthew Dekay Mix) and told him I really liked it, he told me that he had also been playing a Leama & Moor song that was remixed by Matthew Dekay. I wasn't sure what the song was so he basically danced and sang the breakdown of song so that I could recognize it, this was totally great because it showed me he still had the passion for the music. You really can't do that unless you care. The song was Leama & Moor - Everything Matters (Matthew Dekay Remix) by the way.
Anyway so after he found his luggage I asked him if I could take a picture with him and he said yes and then that was that. He went to get his car to go wherever he was going.
So I hope this lets you guys see that he may not be all that bad after all. |
IMO I think he did that only because he was in an airport....he wanted to look important and take a few pics like he's some kind of celebrity and feed his ego while everyone else was watching.....can’t really do that in a restaurant! lol....or maybe he was having a good day and wanted to chat...never know :p |

you mean like that Mastercard commercial with Peyton Manning?... at the diner: "DE-CAF *thump-thump* DE-CAF *thump-thump*!" or when he's waiting outside that TGIF as the waiters are getting off and he's all excited and he goes "Great shift today!" One of them throws him their apron and he goes "Yes!" and puts it on like its a jersey :p
believe me, i'm usually not one to wig out over celebrities at all. but it was the man that was responsible for turning me onto trance, and in turn, edm. it was an opportunity i couldn't pass up. i met him, which was cool enough. i didn't EXPECT a picture, but it would have been really cool, and it was a buzzkill when he said "that's not cool" |

Naw, there was no flashy-ness involved, just took a pic with my camera phone before he left nothing crazy...
Oh, no worries Buch, I understand. Hope you get another shot at it soon. |
