Official TOTA 2006 Federal Election Poll (pg. 4)

I think we all know that SW really has no clue about politics except what he has been told by those with whom he identifies. He is nothing more then a soldier ignoring all reason and critical thinking in order to stay focused on carrying out his orders which is simply the delivery of one sided propaganda. If he posessed the knowledge required to think critically he would understand rhetoric is not absolute truth and one side is not always objectly right while all disenting opinions are objectly wrong.

Hey Shadow what context was the term used in? Your clipping really carries no weight as all the background and context is missing. You need to use better evidence.

The context is given right there in the article
As President of the Federation of Students at the University of Waterloo, Mr. Telegdi said students did not vote in a municipal election because, they want to be ni**ers

Yes, but he was relaying the position taken by the author of a book, the words were not his own nor was the assertion. I did not see anywhere in SW's post anything that exlplained this. But hey, why let context get in the way of something that can be isolated and manipulated to appear as good fodder to make someone appear in a negative light. Even if the words had been his own one must question how such a statement 30 years ago makes him unworthy to represent Waterloo. If this is the only thing that Mandur can come up with to challeng Telegdi on than Mandur really is every bit as weak and inefectual as he appeared in the all candidates debate (which I was in attendance for). Moreover, anyone who must use misinformation and half truths in order to support their position either has a position that cannot be supported or they believe their audience is incapable of thought.

im surprised how the conservatives are doing poor in our TOTA election... given the anti-liberal comments in general, I thought they would sweep this poll.

as of now
Con=10
Lib=17
NDP=17

I just cast my ballot for Bonnie Brown (Liberal - Oakville).

It's just some conservative voters are louder than the rest. *coughjayx1coughshadowwolfcoughdiginutcough* ;)

On other note, I went to vote and to my surprise, a brother of a friend of mine is running for the Marxist Leninist party. Man, that family is ed IIRC another one of his bros ran for the Conservatives.

Werd! I thought it would read at least 80% Conservative.

Green Party sounds like they have a good platform and many people would be surprised to know that they are very fiscally conservative.

Liberals: 34.38%

I voted conservative, the guy in my riding is Afghani, he helped the UN in Afghanistan.

I voted liberal. my riding will probably go either ndp or liberal, and I would rather see the Liberals get in, if there is any possibility to have a conservative minority over a conservative majority (although I'm feeling pretty hopeless and sad about the future right now). I'm not crazy about a lot of the stuff that the Liberals have pulled, but to me, they are the best of the worst.
