aiming at 1000 bought CDs before dec 31st. up to 400 ones right now. i'm only interrested in albums and non-random mixcds. i mostly buy second hand, so i should be able to do it (these 400 cds were bought during 2005).

300+ vinyl. That's all that matters to me really.
50-60 cd's.

Apparently Pee Wee Ferris (AUS) has over 30,000 Vinyl!
I was in the record store and the guy behind the counter (DJ Weaver) offered to catalogue the collection for 2 grand!
Thank god for discogs!

When the hell do you actually listen to all those? That's just ridiculous.

i know of someone with 80,000 vinyl... 40,000 of which were caught underwater by hurricane katrina.

Wow, you guys are intense. PROPS to the people who actually PAY for their ! Thats dedication.

I personally, am way to broke to buy albums or vinyls, when I get out of school I plan on paying my dues to the artists I love.

I have 60-70 sets and I thought that was impressive.

I have more non-electronica related CDs from back in the day, but they aren't organized and most of their cases are beat up. Someday I'm gonna refurbish them and add them to my cd collection shelf. I like my CDs to look mint or as mint as they can look. I cherish my small collection. I don't have much incentive to buy vinyl since I don't have TTs, but that occasional stop at the record store is too tempting.
