if you are a fan of cheap melodies and chip munk vocals shouting "RESPECT TO THE MAN IN THE ICE CREAM VAN!!" you'll propably love Scooter. Personally I would say that they are one of the worst music acts I have ever heard in any genre.
They were actually voted as the worst music act in a newspaper here. I couldn't agree more.
Their latest stuff is a disgrace to the word "music". |

| Respect to the man in the ice cream van isn't just some hilarious random line thrown in but it's one of the numerous references to the KLF which Scooter guys seem to be using alot in their tracks. Back when the KLF were still active, they drove around with an ice cream van and they also used several ice cream van related things in their releases.. especially with Justified and Ancient. I don't know if Scooter still refer to the KLF in their more recent material. Haven't listened to them in years, except for the early works. |

yeah i know that's what makes me so mad at Scooter. And as you said The KLF is propably the group Scooter have stolen most from. Just the fact that they HP Baxter shouts "All aboard all aboard whoh hoh" in Nessaja says it all :P
And the album title "Back to the heavyweight jam" and the copcar in some scooter videos is directly taken from the Timelords records covers. |

| Yep i guess Scooter want to be like them.. big musical thieves like the KLF were back then except they were even bigger thieves, stole everything imaginable and hardly ever gave credits to anyone and that's why one of their albums was never officially released because it was filled with unauthorized samples and material. Hail to Kopyright Liberation Front!! :haha: |
