But is been out there, read in the WSJ today that Hamas wants to unite all Palestinian militias... i.e. defacto creating one fighting force, or army.

I suppose you prefer that over terrorist groups right? (not a provocative question, just curious)

Don't know that any govt would actively sell tank, choppers, etc to Hamas, especially as they are labelled terrorists. Maybe Iran or Syria, but where do they get stuff? France,Germany?

Just read that article, the way they are going there will be a civil war (if you can call it civil). The could wipe themselves out.

Oh don't worry.
Someone will sell them something as long as they pay; there's always a seller if there's a market...

Actually Iran tried to sell them a lot of arms, they had an elaborate plan to sneak it in and everything, but the freighter was boarded in the Red Sea by Israeli seals and caught with the motherload, red handed... and the world pretend there was no link;)

Iran immediately denounced as "baseless accusations" the "military cooperation with the Palestinian Authority".

how baseless is the capture of a vessel full of arms?

Two Weeks ago, one of Iran’s most senior leaders had called for the destruction of Israel with nuclear bomb, saying that while one atomic bomb would destroy Israel completely, it would cause only minor damages against Muslims.

So this is nothing new then... minor damage to Muslims? just how is that possible when at the very least there would be nuclear fallout?

Haha. Palestine with a conventional army. If that army ever goes to war with anything that will be quickest war since Desert Storm.

Of course, if your comments made the even slightest of sense, then i would have read on.

It shall go to the collection of "idiots with opinions" category.

And whats the difference between your everyday racist pig, and you? No, it's not a trick question.

Cyrus, don't even bother, you'll get a more correct reasonable information talking to a wall than talking to this fool.

Of course, the average wall probably has more IQ than the US President in which this guy is basing all his comments on and not leading on with what he really believes is right.

im cautiously optimistic as well. as others have noted, with their newfound legitimacy comes a whole lot of responsibility as well. they can no longer go around blowing up willy-nilly. the threat of cuts to international (predominantly western) aid could be a powerful tool for keeping things under control. if that aid disappeared and the situation slid further i would think hamas\' popularity would slide with it.

im hardly an expert, but i think the world should respect the election, put their best foot forward and and help turn a terrorist group into a real political entity that can help the palestinian people without resorting to violence.

nothing is to be gained by instantly snubbing/punishing hamas; this only legitimises illegitimate (re)actions that might flow from such pressure.

I may be repeating someone cuz I can't be arsed to read most of the pgs.

So, this is Hamas plan after all... Get more funding so that they can cause more havoc in Israel. Yeah right they're not going to use donations from the infidels to attack Israel.

Note that they're trying to stir up more religious fervor to get more money for Hamas.

Man, more I read and study about Islamic mentality, more scared I am of them. One silly incident and Denmark is like Public Enemy #1. Denmark! When was the last time Denmark did anything to piss anyone off?
