don't use it :P.

Nah, I just had to say that before someone else did. Anyway, dunno if it's been said, but turn off all the unnecessary graphics features.

start > right click my computer > properties > advanced > performance settings > and turn off the top 4.

also can change the page file by clicking the advanced tab from there, and clicking 'change' under virtual memory. Generally, I set it to 1.5x-2x my ram, and let it vary between the two.

I've always used Tweak XP which is quite good.

And of course XPLite, which strips XP of the bits you dont want.

And the greatest of all, X-TEQ, for a million and one XP reg tweaks.

And yeh, first thing you should do is change that awful look hehe, go to www.wincustomize.com and get a new look for your pc, you can even give it effects like closing windows and opening, where you would get some nice effects.

Also you can change your logos, which you can make your XP look alot more good looking.

Great info here :) Too bad they can't improve my performance immensely lol, since their only drivers with insufficient amount of space that don't intervene with windows kernel shell.
I'd like to know all the Windows run commands other than the ones that are listed here. Can anybody spare the list? I know there was a thread made about this long time ago but I'm too frustrated with the Search button.
My performance tips: Disk Cleanup every week, Disk Defrag every week (although I don't quite that often lol), Windows Firewall ~ SP2 (it's lenient with proper management).
