i did my review before but i wanna add on the fact It was definetly one of the best nites of my life!
and since saturday morning i just had 4 hours sleep and then went to work. but i am still goin :eyespop: |

Yes, his set in KH (the one I heard) was bloody phenominal! I 100% agree (and you dont often hear my rave about a house DJ!)

His last half an hour or so is what halted it from being my favourite set ever. He just started getting repetitive and not putting much effort. He played the Dirty Clown Alliance's anthem - A Bit Patchy but it didn't tie in with his set at all...I was waiting and screaming all night for him to play my favourite song of all time - THE DARK ROOM!!! He didn't play it though :( |
But Toronto DOES love techno- just not the stuff he's playing these last few years. He used to blow the roof off years ago, now he just kills the vibe and puts everyone to sleep. Seriously- let someone else book him at another venue, for people who 'get' minimal techno, and bring the bangin' stuff back w/someone else. ANYONE else... |

MO - great tunes... per usual...
BJ - Good. Liked their set at LOL more, but I was pretty wiped by that point anyway...
Good crowd for guv... nice decor...
all in all a great night...

| Steve Porter in the gallery for sleeper set of my entire partying life. mixing may have been sub-par at some points, but the track selection definately made up for that. It has been a while since we've heard some solid, feel good, banging, and funky house in Toronto. Steve Porter delivered. |
