I know.. twice in one weekend, such a pleasure.. and now I am kicking my own ass.. cuz although I had a good time.. I have 2 days with working as well on both days to get packed and ready for this trip.. :whip:

Hmmmm.....now that I look back at it the music was pretty weak.
Was a very over hyped event especially as far as the headliners go.
But you can't stay in on your b-day can you???
Still managed to be one of the best nights I had at the Guv. |

The guy that dropped was someone I was partying with, who had come up from the states, and was crashing at my place for the weekend, so he could attend Ultraspin. He was dancing in koolhaus inches from me when it happend. I watched as his entire body went stiff, his jaw frozen half open with a scream that never came out, his arms in front of him, his hands folded like claws, his eyes rolled back in his head. He span around, and fell like a log to the floor every muscle in his body contracted. His heart was beating, but he was not breathing. In all likelyhood he owes his life to one TA that was with us, and imediately began mouth to mouth. I think its something like 2 mins before brain damage occurs once you stop breathing, and it took longer then that to get him to the paramedics. Yes Guvernment has paramedics, and a paramedic station, which is something I did not know, but we are all very grateful for. He recovered, and was held for observation, and then released.
Needless to say, no one in our group had a good time, and I doubt any of us will ever forget what happend. We are all still trying to process what happend, his friend that he came up with from the states is a dj, and was talking of never DJing again, he wants nothing to do with the scene anymore. I know several of us will never drop again. For those of us that knew him, this was not a story we heard about, not a statistic, it was very very real, and very very scarey, we all knew it could have been anyone of us. I do not expect anyone that was not part of our crew that night to fully comprehend what it was that we experienced, but if you have read this message, please think about it, and think about if that had been you, or one of your friends. |
I dont know what to say, I was right beside you guys. But could not do anything to help, my friends did though... It was horrifying. I sent you a PM (plz respond).

US9 was awesome! I liked all the DJs cept Picotto of course. I made it into Guv just 2 min before crush was performed live. My life is now complete.. lol! :)
The vibe last night was off the hook. Definitely one of the better nights at Guv. The massive TA presence contributed greatly towards that. A special shoutout to my homies Jason, Ola, Christina, Max, Craig, Scott & Tasha... I loved hangin with you guys. Kris + Detroit crew... always a pleasure seeing you guys. Dirty clowns, HDT, FRC, 613, Richmond Hill, KW, Hamilton... all the friggin crews... you guys rawk! :D Yes, even the elitist ones... *cough* Emery *cough* :stongue:
Hope everyone can make it out to TA 6 yr next weekend. See you there!
