not all club/lounge/partys' have techs, and if you stick to techs all the time and turn up to play on say Numark, Stantons or Vestax then your ed! theyrs a pretty noticeable deference between having a +/- 8% and +/- 10%. if youre not used to having played on 10% then your gonna struggle big time, but going from a 10 to 8 your gonna have a much easier time!
im not saying dont buy techs', just realise that if you do you better make sure you have experience on other decks too before you even think about hitting the clubs!! |

This isn't a conversation I'm trying to inform you. :toothless You have no point aside from "technics are the best". That is one of my highest pet peaves.
EDIT: By that I mean you are blinded by the equipment. The equipment is just a tool nothing else. You don't NEED technics it is just a brand you have not bought a lifestyle.... |

good deal w/starting out w/directs. ANYTHING is better than belt drives...
looks like a good mixer to start with. it has the basic features you will need to start rockin' it. |

Thank YOU, your the first one on here who tells me that what i bought is good for learning and practicing. everyone else was gona make me go rob a store :P and use the money for those technics made in gold. |

| My direct drive Numark TT200's work great. I reccomend those to people who don't want to drop a load of money on decks but still want some decent equipment thats well made. |

Dude djing is expensive.
I don't know if you have thought about this yet but how are you going to afford music
with each track costing 10+ $?
You will get tired of playing the same tracks over and over and loose interest.
I would have gone the cd route if I where you on a 400-500 budget.
Cheaper Cdjs get the job done better than the cheaper decks
and music is not so ing expensive... |

True story. Sometimes I kinda wish I waited a bit longer to save for cdjs because now I know with the vinyl, in the long run it will be a hell of a lot more expensive. I mean, I wouldn't ever take back my decision because playing with vinyl is very fun and I love controling the record but yes, one day I will be switching to the cdj route only for the fact that it will be cheaper and you have a lot more flexibility and options. |

Im gona be able to buy atleast 3 vinyls a week till i get a better job, and i got alot of other things to do, im not gona be playing with my turntables as much as you guys think so i wont get tired of playing the same tracks in a short time. i thought about the cdj, but i was more interested to start off with turntables, but anyway its too late now to think of anything else, my turntables already been shipped. |

| good buy on getting the TT-200s. i have one hooked up to my mixer (i use cd's and vinyl) and i love it dearly. People always talk about the pitch being way to sensitive but u'll get used to it. u just gotta practice a lot. the pitch also fluctuates but it is no biggy. once u get your ears all tuned up and had some time under your belt, mixing with the tt-200s will be great. a very very good plus side to owning decks that are cheaper than technics is that once u get very good with the cheaper ones, u'll be even better with the almighty technics, and vestaxes. You'll be used to sensitive pitches and fluctuation and can correct some errors more easily. but eh, good luck with DJing, hope u enjoy it. now it is time to literally burn your money on vinyl :happy2: ...it isnt a bad thing though |
