im really looking forward for this album and i really hope it turns out killer. we need oakenfold back.
faster kill cat sounds pretty similar to flashdance, even brittany sounds like shes singing in the same style as flashdance.
this is not a good way to introduce the album but its great for commercial purposes. |

So I've listen to this. Nothing special at all here. He’s treading water, copying others. I hear nothing new or fresh at all.
This guys needs to retire. No big name has done it yet. Retiring is his last chance to be a pioneer again. Do it Oakey, save what dignity you have left and retire.
PS - Bring Tiesto with you. |

Don't think your views are shared by the majority - plus he stated recently that he would never retire completely as he said it's 'in his blood' (DJ Mag - March 2006). Personally I think that if an indivdual still enjoys what they are doing and still has enthusiasm for the scene then they should carry on doing what then love and not be dictated to by people who make no illusion about the fact that they have no great love of the individual!
Personally I feel this is a good thing - sure his DJ sets of late have become a bit formalic but there is still alot of appreciated for his efforts (both past and present - presently more so for his productions) and I still think he has alot to give.
Plus you said no big name has retired yet - well Danny Rampling recently stated his retirement - if DR ain't a big name (one of the few who started it all back in the hayday) than I don't know who is! |

I think he should retire to stop the embarrassment and preserve his legacy. This is common practice in sports because you can’t play forever, even if you would like to. I think DJs can peak too. The sound level takes it’s toll and you can’t mix forever.
There was a point in his career where he peaked. People we crying for him to retire on his website forum and they shut the forum down. There is no sense in putting the blinders on.
I just don’t see him being relevant again. Too go out state that with digital technology ‘the art form has gone’ is insulting and highlights just how little vision he has today. If he was holding is own and mixing solidly it would be one thing but he isn’t. His mixing is crap and he doesn’t appear to care. Oakey could use a little Ableton.

There is nothing to say he can’t make music and DJ in his bedroom like most everybody else out here. I’m sure former pro athletes still kick/toss/shoot the ball around at home and go watch the games of teams they once played for. But they retire when they realize they are past their prime.
I just don’t think we should blindly worship a name but this is all just my opinion. If people like him and he still moves them -- all the better. |

So I just matched up Save The Last Trance and Blend Forty 3 and besides being couple of beats shy they pretty much are exactly the same..thats real sad
Should've seen this coming once he completely ripped Sasha's remix of In A State for his remix of Carlo Vives Como Tu |
