I can't believe almost the whole cd is a rip off!!
Save The Last Trance For Me = Steve May - Blend Forty 3 (Luke Chable & Steve May Mix)
Feed Your Mind = Sander van Doorn's remix of SOS
^these two are obviously rip offs!
Faster Kill Cat = Perfecto Allstarz - Psycho (it's on "the club" cd)
Amsterdam = U2 - Beautiful Day (the perfecto remix)
Not Over = Tiesto - Just Be (original)
^here we have less obvious rip offs, but you can clearly hear elements off other tracks which oakenfold uses in his songs.

I was comparing the releases with the ones you mentioned. There were a lot of similarities with the synths and basslines used. As a producer and fan its ashame that Paul, who a lot of EDM fans still look up to don't give any real effort anymore. |

as a trance producer, Oakey seems to be a nobody if he doesn't have good old Steve Osborne working with him.
compare today's Oakenfold with the Oakenfold from the nineties glory years and you'd think it's 2 completely different Oakenfolds
 |

no problem, just helping to point out. :)
it's actually SORT OF a remix album... Roman Hunter did two remixes on the CD... the others are "club mixes" although some of the "club mixes" are no different than the "originals" like "not over" for example... a bit confusing. :) |

ok i got a hold of the full cd and overall not bad at all if the songs were originally his.
feel your mind
i just dont understand this track. who is the original maker of the kicks and the overall music? its the same damn thing as sander van doorn with different vocalist singing in weird different notes.
set it off
it reminds me of some older work paul has done. it also has 80s sound to it.
faster kill cat
it doesnt sound as bad as in the sample. meaning it doesnt sound much as a ripoff now. this song doesnt do much to me.
amsterdam
my favorite. im loving this, its really badass. reminds of back in the days when i heard this song before. |
