Same here man. Although I was only 11 years old, Daft Funk - Da Funk was the begining of my addiction to house music. I watched that video when it first came out soooo many times.
I had never heard it in a club until last year, on my birthday in the lounge of Boa. Until the "wowwww wow wow WOW wow" came in, I refused to believe it was actually playing. Once it kicked in, I lost it. I think people must have thought I was crazy when that track was being played, lol.
The only other time I've heard that track was my birthday this year at the Comfort Zone. J-Prez dropped it as his first track at 12pm. The Zone had been absolute that morning, but that one track made up for it.
Perfect birthday presents both years. |

don't worry...after Prodigy I somehow managed to go in the wrong direction and ended up listening to 2Unlimited and top 40 dance beats like that. Had a stint in "rock" for a while too (i.e Offspring and such) until I finally made my way back to commercial Ibiza Mega Summer Dance Hits beats and then trance, then house...yadda yadda yadda...and now we're here :p |
