Hey guys,
Folks from the 2 coolest cities in North America are converging this weekend for the Ferry-PVD double header. We're planning this on Saturday at 5:30P so that people have time to chill/digest-food/and get ready for the evening ;) Here are the restaurants most nominated:
1. Uno Chicago Grill - 89 South Street Seaport
http://www.unos.com/great.html
PROS: We've had other meet-up here before so we know what to expect. They can seat a lot of people. Cheap food.
CONS: It's very far from our homes and is very far from Roseland.
2. Patsy's Pizzeria - 23rd Street by 8th Ave
http://www.patsyspizzeriany.com/menus.htm
PROS: About 2 blocks from where the TOTA's are staying in Chelsea so it's very convenient. Authentic NYC coal fired pizza. Good cheap food.
CONS: Don't know if they can seat more than 12 at once - may have to split into 2 adjoining tables.
3. Rosa Mexicano - 62nd and Columbus Ave
http://www.rosamexicano.info/servlet/locations/nyclc
PROS: Suppose to be very good mexican with awesome drinks. Closer to Roseland Ballroom - about a 10 block walk
CONS: Could be very pricey. Don't know if they can seat more than 12 at one table.
Okay so please vote/discuss/diss/and babble away.
Almost forgot! If you make a suggestion, here's some criteria:
* Needs to seat more than 12 people
* Should be close to either Chelsea (23rd) or Roseland
* Should have a varied menu to accomodate the carnivores and herbivores or some other diet restriction ;)
I'll put in the reservation on Wed ;) |

| Ahh, I'm so excited! Hi Fran! |

| There are like 8000 Italian restaurants that are NOT pizzerias. I still love the idea though. Suggestion: uh...I'll think of one and post later. |

Yea but I think the whole idea is that it is NYC and the peeps from TO want some of our Pizza cause its different and also I know Pizza Uno is a good place that has more then just Pizza and Italian food so it will appeal to all types and after all the cash that is going to be spent this weekend something low key is needed. I could be wrong though.
Anyway Fran I would love to go but already have plans with Reddog and Drummerboy to go to Pizza Uno for Drummerboys going away dinner. I will most likely going to Pvd now, I found cheap tickets and am so freakin excited to go. See you all this weekend. |

| Fran man, anywhere I can get hammered before PvD is good for me as long as it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. |

I think that Patsy's Pizzeria is a good idea. Simply because it's cheap and close to where we're staying. Since Cale and I may have to leave early to go meet up with Ilyia, it would give us more time to eat and socialize. The first place you listed is close to Roseland Ballroom...however, since we have to go back to where we're staying anyway to meet Ilyia and get ready...to me it doesn't really seem important to be close to the club.
Just my 2 cents.
And yes...Fran and I had discussed earlier...maybe a buffet or pizza. I suggested pizza b/c who doesn't like pizza? And also...b/c yes, since New York pizza is it's own "thing" I'd love to try it!! |
