Usually artists who are making first appearences having that 1 hour time slot is common. If the dj or artist makes an unforgetable performance then the next time it will be 2 hours. Just be glad that some of these artist are coming overseas for this event and they are using their gig money for flights..If your not happy with that then oh well its your problem.
@ RJT you think the promoters in UK would book you for 2 hours since you have no clue how the vibe is over there.. Meaning you have never spun in that enviroment and the crowd reaction is different. I think not
And for the PM you sent me, if you want some donuts for you gigs in netherlands then go help yourself , the point is that if you were being booked at god knows what, and you had the same status and artists in the line up, still you think they'll gave you 2 hours?hell no.. This event is a first and not a recurring event. As you might see if the event turns out well then next time the timeslots will change. And yes we'll all see your opnion from the first post. I just also wanna say big fuking deal about the 1 hour time slots. Instead of being proud that many fellow ta's are spinning you have to go finding something negative about the party.
Those dj's are going to rock it either way cuz 1. the people that are goin.. are skipping out on PVD and ABove and Beyond for this. So i'm sure they are going to give it their all.
2. Consider this as a sneak preview since it is most of the dj's very 1st WMC. Once they get bigger they will have their own night in a future WMC

For the record, I am with Rob and Craig, I really don't like 1 hour sets, even though they are the only gigs I get at the moment.
Hardly enough time for a person to create a flow and progress in any realy way. :( |
