Dear Armin van Buuren,
Can you change / modify the way tracklists are posted on your website. Can you put in timers in your tracklist (or in tracklists of your future ASOTs), so that we know at what minute which track is being played. It will help us better in identifying a track.
Like for example I really liked this one track you played in ASOT 223 at 20th minute of the episode, I really like the track and wanted to know the name. And to know the name I had to download your tracklist and listen to it again from 1st song to identify the track which was 4th in place of the tracklist below:
1. Bennett & Soarez - Light of Hope (Armada) (00.00)
2. Niyaz - Dilruba (Junkie XL remix) (10.33)
3. Super8 - Helsinki Scorching (Anjunabeats) (16.42)
4. Frost & Maron - Mute your min d(Yield remix) (Flashover recordings) (22 nd minute)
5. Armin van Buuren feat. Nadia Ali - Who's Watching (Remy remix) (Armind)(27.54) ....
M.I.K.E. - For Always in my Heart (Club Elite)
Above & Beyond - Alone Tonight (Anjunabeats)
Estuera - Flow (Blackhole)
Selu Vibra - Stargazing (Somatic Sense)
Bruni Bergeron - Downrising (Somatic Sense)
Armin van Buuren - Controlfreak (Sander van Doorn remix) (Armind)
TUNE OF THE WEEK: Nic Chagall - Monday Bar (High Contrast)
Guiseppe Ottaviani - Linking People (Vandit)
FUTURE FAVORITE: Ferry Corsten - Star Traveller (Hydriod vs Zehavi &
Rand remix) (Tsunami)
Peetus - Bigger Palace
Icone Pres Blue Manta - I feel Lost (Under Sun Remix)
Sander van Dien & Ralphie B. present First State - First State
(Blackhole)
Leon Bolier - My Precious (Captured)
Marco V. - Simulated (Nick Thompson remix)
Purple Haze - Eden (Spinnin)
Now your transition is sometimes so seamless that it gets difficult for us to identify when the new next track has started. :D
Timings in the tracklist will only make things simpler.
Same stand for all other DJs...
I love the track being played in Global Trance Grooves with Tikal Episode at 90th minute. If only the tracklist was timed, than I could have identified which track it is.
A tracklist with timings of the track is absolutely possible in case of Radio shows (Live or not), however I do understand that it may not be possible in case Live Event shows. |

Not really. It's just that all the tracks sound the same. Silly boom boom boom music. |

| haha surely it isn't *THAT* much effort working out what the track at a certain time is? less effort than the DJ writing all the times down themselves, at any rate, and they have nothing to gain from doing that. |

Dear Armin van Buuren,
Can you change / modify the way tracklists are compiled for your sets. They're too predictable. Thank you so much

Dosent he merge two tracks sometimes, like first part of a track is played, than he plays another different track, and than he finishes it with second part of the first track he played. Its like squeezing a track in between the track. |

Guys it stand same for everyone, and not just Armin van Buuren.
Specially for people who are posting their mixes on there website and here on TA.
Like I downloaded this Top 50 tracks of Kr00t0n from his website. And I loved the track at 57th minute of his set. I know that track, its a classic and I have heard it before. But I dont know the name. So to identify that track, I have to again listen to 57 minutes of the set and simultaneously keep track of the tracklist as it moves; to come to that song name.
If only tracklist had timings, I would have know what track was it at 57th minute. |

What's stopping you from editing the tracklists for yourself? |

I do that, but his was an Ableton mix, so was pretty easy to identify when a track changes. But in case of good mixes by big names like in Global Trance Grooves, ASOTs... it sometimes gets very difficult to identify a track changing.
Also like when you dont know names in a row, like in tracklist above suppose I dint knew even one track in first 5 tracks, so I start listening and after track two, everything is so meshed up and intermixed, so seamless, that I cant get to decide which track is 3rd and which track is 4th one. There is sure a difference but it so subtle that you fail to identify that its actually two tracks and not one. Thats good mixing. |

Yeah Purple, he does, I'll stick up for you...
ex.
Take a listen to ASOT 2006 and listen to Oliver Lieb vs. Preach - Papel (Preach Mix), in the start of song, you hear the words "Crackdown", the words in the next song Dj Remy - Crackdown, not only do you hear those lyrics, but you also hear the first measures of Remy's song on top of Papel... |
