This is London=new System Sound bar?

I haven't been to This is London (or TIL as it has become known as) yet, but I must say it seems to be moving toward becoming my new System Sound bar in the future.

It looks a bit nicer in terms of layout and the clientele seems to be a bit more mixed and on the more "dressed up" side. It has been bringing in some notable names and throwing some good parties based on the reviews on here. It also seems to be setting a good vibe regardless of the genre being played that night - similar to how system was.

Has This is London become your new System, or have you found another club that has fufilled your System fix since it closed?

There can never be a replacement for System Soundbar, but This Is London is close to becoming my new home...it just needs a little bit of "renovating" still. For the last couple of weeks there has been a lack of a good crowd...but on Friday alot of the old Systems crowd was there. If this continues and the ratio of 'sketchy' vs. 'top 40' crowd is greater, then TIL will be awesome. Don't get me wrong...I like the mixed crowd, but there's too many of the 'top 40' bunch. The dress code is fine imo, but one thing I hate is the 21+. They don't usually enforce it but I don't appreciate it when they do. Other than that...TIL has alot of potential, and every week it gets better and better :)

Yeah both clubs are totally different from one another...they cannot be compared as being similar in the least (in my opinion)

I know they are different clubs, and yes there will never be another System. What I meant was: is TIL the new System because you think it is - or will become - an always reliable place you can go and have a good time? Does it have that always welcoming vibe that a handful of clubs have?

I'm essentially looking for recommendation for a club that will replace System on my short list of preferred clubs.

ahh well I guess the only way you will know is to check out the club. I really like the club...I went for Misstress and Deep Dish. The crowd is great, sound is really good. I suggest you check it out soon :)
electro funk
The only thing that i can find similar between the 2 is the DJ's that are being brought in

TIL is a beautiful venue, and the crowd there is very pretty which I both like. But a pretty crowd doesn't have to be snooty which is what I didn't like. I miss System but hope as the music gets better, TIL's crowd gets better.
